but if the KKK wanted to have the wedding catered by a gay shop and were turned down????? you would agree wouldn't you? pretty sure you are a narrow minded bigot of the worst kind :2 cents:

bronco67 04-01-2015 05:29 PM

They have the right to deny service to anyone they want.

They also have the right to lose other customers because of their intolerance. So why not let the market straighten them out?

But would a gay person force someone to serve them if they didn't want to?

How do you explain the fact that many upscale restaurant won't let you in if you are wearing sneakers? Do you agree they have the right to deny you access for that reason?

Ok, I looked it up. I figured for sure it was a health code thing. However it seems No Shirt, No Shoes, No service was in fact started in the 60s as a counter to popular culture being the hippies. It was used in attempt to keep smelly hippies out of their stores..

The reason why health code is thought of as the reason, is that was in fact the myth which was used to exuse the non service to no shoes & shirts..

A lot of high end restaurants will deny access to male diners that aren't wearing a suit jacket.

Not really no I don't think they should be able to deny service. I understand the reasoning for them trying to keep a "up scale" feel, but it's really no different than trying to say "no blacks" to keep a all white feel.

I figure if a business is open to the "public" then they should have to serve all people regardless of race, customs, gender or what ever. If they choose to do other wise then it should be a private members only.

I also don't agree with blacks only with the excuse they are a minority..

Don't need to be extreme and use KKK as example. Let's just flip sides and have a gay bakery and left wing pro-lifer. Just watch this guy's videos

If I had a pizza place I would gladly cater to gay and lesbian weddings. However I doubt if a gay pizza shop owner refused to cater to christian weddings that the news media would even report it.

And once again, they're selectively applying what the Bible says. Do they refuse service to people who have divorced?

Of course, it is impossible to expect anything rational out of people who believe in fairy tales. I realized fairy tales were fake in the first grade.

Leave it to GFYers to compare having a dress code to discriminating based on race. :1orglaugh
