I hope the police in my 3rd world shit hole never degrades to US standards...even the intervention units in my shit hole are kind and polite...it is impossible to get shot if you are not armed, they simply will not shoot you end of story...I know of one police shooting of an unarmed man in my shit hole, it was all over the news, it was a fucking scandal, the drunk asshole tried to take away a cops gun...it was in the news for weeks...

you kind of have a point here, cops in 3rd world countries dont shoot, unless they absolutely HAVE to.. but they sure as heck hand out some street justice themselves and allow every tom dick and harry to hand the perps asses to them before being put into a police vehicle. Im sure lessons are learned better there. Here, you can violently rob someone and beat them, and cops ask which fast food joint you want to pickup at as they transfer you to another jail the next morning. Not a finger laid on the perps here hardly anymore.

You can get your ass chopped before cops there. Saw it with my own eyes in Thailand. By the time cops got there dude had broken leg and multiple cuts on his back. I was freaking out because I have hemophobia

In working justice system there are separate institutions for finding criminals, sentencing them and executing the punishments. You can call it whatever, but it ensures much more rightful results. As for starters the sentenced people are much more likely actually guilty.

Of course many assholes prefer all kinds of violence; the difference between them and criminals is often semantic to none.

In downtown Toronto back in the 70s and 80s (actually as far back as the 50s) - the 52 Division of Toronto police developed quite a reputation for taking chronic problem criminals for a latenight drive out to the remote Cherry Beach area and tuning them up.

This was a time before cellphones and cell cams, of course. So it was far easier for cops to get away with it.

Was it right? Perhaps not.
Was it effective? Quite probably.

The stories about 52 Division were so prevalent that Pukka Orchestra recorded "Cherry Beach Express" in the 80s.

Running from the police is wrong. What the police did is just as wrong. They are not suppose to play judge, jury & executioner.

One of my childhood friends is a police officer. He's flat out told me stories about them giving beatings to anyone that makes them break a sweat. The officers in the video were forced to give chase. It doesn't matter that the guy gave up without resisting at the end. In the police bro club they HAVE to beat him down because they were forced to give chase. You are suppose to listen and not resist otherwise a cop then has the rights of GOD to beat you mercilessly. You do what they say or you deserve to be beaten within an inch of your life.

I've heard stories about someone hitting a cop, getting arrested and brought to the station. The cop that got hit didn't "get his licks in" during the arrest. Backup arrested him. So back at the station he's now allowed to beat the inmate as pay back. Doesn't matter you're already arrested and in jail. The officer you hit didn't get his payback with you and WILL get it back at the station. It is the universal unwritten right of police officers.

Police officers are human beings like all of us. They are flawed. We want them to be held to a higher standard and conduct themselves as such. It seems like an impossible task but can be done.

The middle ages used to exist too. Life was worth less. Overtime society has evolved.

We need to somehow bring change to police officers I just don't know how. It's a job that corrupts 99% of them because they are HUMAN.

We can say "he shouldn't have run" all we want but it doesn't change the fact that if cops have the right to beat you within an inch of your life for breaking the law it means they are now judge, jury & executioner. That's a dangerous precedence in my opinion.

actually no...it is very rare for criminals to get beat up on the street if they did not commit something really terrible...violence is very rare...even though we have the 2nd highest gun rate per capita in the world right after the USA...

I was once in neighboring croatia, the cops actually apologized to me for asking ID from me and my friends, assuring us that the only reason we got ID-d is that they are looking for somebody who fits our description, and that they feel terrible about this because we are from serbia and they do not want this to reflect negatively upon their hospitality...

we are not india or thailand...no street justice...
