everyone seems to want Pacquiao but Mayweather has never been defeated. No one knows what reserves he has, what he can really do, what his limits are. Pacquiao and Mayweather are both fast both hit hard. In my amateur and unscientific opinion, I give the edge to mayweather.

I really wish that had better PPV for computer users, my service provider mediacom said they don't have it but are working on it. :(

I'll have to catch it at a bar but I got a feeling everywhere is going to be packed.

EngineCash 04-21-2015 12:47 AM

I just hope that the match is not fixed... :)

Tom-LifeSelector 04-21-2015 09:21 AM

A double KO would be really funny :1orglaugh

Mobius Matt 05-01-2015 09:37 AM

it is beyond me why it is not sold as single event somewhere, in some countries i have to get a full pay tv subscription to be able to book this for extra money, in other countries i have no chance to watch this at all. at least legally, somewhere i might find a pirate site that streams it

fucking asshats

anyone watch this at home and can point a webcam to his TV? lol

solving the same problem the only way I foubd is a sports bar, guess they have it through SKY Sports

CarlosTheGaucho 05-03-2015 07:20 AM

ok so I guess I won both my bets but wasn't the most impressed by the fight itself, it sort of missed more unexpected moments. Your thoughts?

ownedbox 05-03-2015 08:07 AM

Mayweather sucks.

Robbie 05-03-2015 08:33 AM

Well..I didn't see the fight. But I listened to it. And then I watched the post-fight analysis on ESPN.

Sounds like Mayweather pretty much controlled the fight easily.

I kind of thought that this whole thing was just a lot of hype to build up the money. And it worked.

Pacquiao has lost 4 fights right here at the MGM Grand. To think even for one minute that he was on the level of Mayweather was kind of stretching it.

But we all got caught up in the P.R. hype that Pacquiao was somehow THE guy who could beat Mayweather. But like I said...everytime he has fought here in Vegas, he lost.

Mayweather? Hasn't been beaten. Now that the dust has settled it's kind of obvious to me that it was all a big P.R. campaign that was designed to get us all excited about a fight where the victor was really never in question

hottoddy 05-03-2015 09:40 AM

Didn't see it, but many friends declared it super boring. Ah, the joys of seeing 140-pounders (after they put on weight) tap dance around the ring and bounce gloves off each other.

I haven't enjoyed seeing the smaller guys fight since the Hearns-Hagler-Leonard era. But, I believe those guys were a bit larger and true middleweights.

PornoMonster 05-03-2015 09:57 AM

It wasn't as boring as some boxing I have seen.. I think people are use to MMA now.....
Mayweather is a defensive fighter and controlled the fight. Even when Pacman was hitting him, mayweather just shook his head no. Like any boxing event each person will land a few good shots. Pacman was to be an offensive fighter and threw less than half his normal punches, and landed only a few of those, most without anything behind them.

Boxing isn't always a slug fest, it is also a well planned event, which mayweather did very well as a defensive player.

Mayweather looked like he barely even worked up a sweat, so yeah not as "active" as a fight the media hyped it up to be.

200 Million was the payout with 40% going to the Loser.... So I am going to say No one lost.... HA...

I would of let either person hit me for 80 Million....

Yet even boxing coaches had the opposite expectations:

It is easy to talk that "it was clear" after a fight.

In Vegas? Never happen. :1orglaugh

TheSquealer 05-03-2015 08:36 PM

Mayweather threw more and shut Manny down by clinching or avoiding him when he tried to start throwing combinations. Mayweather beat him across the board. Manny had a game plan to deal with Mayweather. Mayweather had a game plan to deal with Manny and in the end, Mayweather had a better, or at least more effective game plan. He won hands down.. That was his goal.. to win.

ManuteBol 05-03-2015 08:56 PM

From a betting perspective, it was awesome. Mayweather would never take a fight he couldn't win, so we all knew he was going to win. Pac-Man just got knocked out recently.

Odds were 2 to 1, but they should have been 3 to 1, Vegas slipped.

Maurelle Marquez 05-03-2015 11:51 PM

If you call running and hugging inside the ring 'boxing' well...

SomeCreep 05-04-2015 03:24 AM

That fight was fucking bullshit. Glad I saw it on Periscope for free, rather than pay for it.

Less hugging and more avoidance but I called it.

Anybody who expected a Rocky style fight and that's 95% of Twitter from what I saw knows nothing about boxing. Floyd Mayweather fights are always boring, he's regarded as one of the greatest defensive boxers of all time, only a boxing purist would appreciate what he does. My only hope for the fight was that Manny would come out like the Tasmanian Devil and knock out Mayweather - a very unlikely possibility. The difference in size was very noticeable, Mayweather much bigger.

The numbers for the PPV broke the PPV record for buys/revenue, cable and satellite couldn't handle the numbers, there is and always will be huge demand for boxing, but there just aren't any marquee American boxers, Mayweather is the end of the line. If Muhammad Ali were 14 today he'd be playing basketball and football dreaming of the NFL and NBA. It's too late now, there's no way back for American boxing.

Mayweather would have been beaten by all the great boxers near his size I grew up watching - Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Benitez.

Axeman 05-04-2015 07:27 PM

Manny is out for 9-12 months with rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder. Being performed by the doctor that did Kobe's.
