There was a storyline back in the 70's with the Batman-Superman comics series where Superman for some reason lost all his powers. He couldn't deal with not being a crime fighter any longer so he reinvented his identity with a new suit chock full of gadgets (like Batman has) and called himself "Nova" or "The Nova". He went up against some crooks and of course got himself into trouble, and eventually the Bat had to bail him out before he got himself killed.
As I recall the two fought some in that plot. Anyone else remember that? I'm old. I wish I'd saved those comics though, they'd be worth a small fortune today. |
I wonder if the woman will get the bat. Man, that would be super.

I would love it in 3d. Actually, Bambi has some chance, as the trees might be like spikes for Godzilla, and honestly, spikes are a extreme challenge for barefoot people, and for barefoot godzilla too. |
Why is every Batman movie converting Chicago in its Gotham city? When will we see a Batman in Vienna or a Superman in München. I am very tired of watching cities of the USA with bad public transportation and awful pretentious distribution of the population in the movies. |

The Dark Knight Returns - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Frank Miller wrote two stories, in one duel with Superman and Batman ended in sort of tie (Bruce faked death by heart attack) and in second, he went underground teach youngsters to fight government and gov's ass licker - Superman. When they were ready they come out and beat the shit out of Superman, literally. awesome story, one of the very best Batman stories along with Killing Joke though totally different. |
If you think it'll suck don't watch it. :2 cents:
I'm gonna watch it in IMax! :) :2 cents: |

So I finally saw it yesterday. Quick review, no spoilers:
Pretty good. Not as good as the first "Man of Steal" but still pretty good. I didn't race to see this one in the cinema because when I heard about it, I thought "how the hell could Batman ever beat Superman?". The reason is revealed in the movie of course and it works. So, fun stuff there. The movie is surprisingly dark. You feel bad for Supe-baby, you feel bad for Bat-baby. Ben Affleck is a good actor and is a good Batman. But then again its hard to tell because the tone is so dark and he holds that tone for the entire movie. (Stuff happens that turns him dark). The music is the same as was in Man of Steel. Which is excellent. But the same. Plenty of surprises beyond Wonder Woman, and plenty of easter eggs for eagle-eyed dorks like myself. I saw it in RealD-3D, which is completely terrible. Movie makers really need to stop this. At least the theatres near me offer it in both original 2D and 3D but time constraints force me to see the 3D version. Too-dark images + blurry images + image overlaps and other artifacts and without any actual "comin' atcha moments" = RealD3D. Plus, its yet another 2D to 3D "Converted" movie, not actually shot in 3D. So, waste of time and money and energy all around. But besides that, still a good movie and worth watching. |
I liked it, wasn't that bad in my opinion. It's a bit more dark and gritty compared to the marvel movies but it didn't bother me.

"Batman v Superman trailer leaked-AWESOME"
Such a contradictory title, too hard to ignore... |
shitty movie, dont watch it.

It was not so good, but nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be. There was a badass Batman fight scene (in the warehouse against the mob of guys) which is probably the best Batman fight scene ever put to film. Even better than any of Christopher Nolan's.
Wonder Woman was unnecessary, but her scene was pretty cool. I actually did believe that Batman could fight Superman when you consider the kryptonite weapons and armored suit. But their fight was based on a misunderstanding like some kind of Three's Company episode. and it was pretty to look at. So, not as good as I had hoped but there were some things to like so I can't discount it totally. B- |
with so many different accounts, really looking forward to watching it! :thumbsup
