You can tell it's bad because lately supermarkets have been blending the beef with pork to avoid sticker shock. Somewhere militant vegans are rejoicing

what is the pork and beef mixture called? haven't seen that around that I'm aware of...

It's just labeled Ground beef and pork. Not sure what the ratio is and we've really only started seeing it in the last 6 months or so I guess it's a play on the ground beef/pork/veal that you see in some of the more Italian type grocery stores. It's suitable in meatloaf and meatballs. Burgers not so much since you loose some of the flavour but it will do in a pinch. Up here in Ontario, it has dropped the price down to $4.00/lb compared to $6 for lean ground beef.

I remember back in 2013 around Xmas time, we were seeing prime rib at $3.99/lb and much of it was US Beef (Choice or better). Now on sale Prime rib is $8. The rest of the time it is $12

Publix is awesome as a grocery store chain. They were actually voted #2 for the best grocery chain in the county and that's saying quite a bit being they are only in a 6 states.

I hate going to grocery stores in other places after getting used to Publix here in FL.

Of course cattle belches out greenhouse gasses, just not nearly as much as you (yes, you smell like shit!). Nice try at trolling, troll, but you fail, again.

Dvae, Dynamo is a fucking idiot that didn't even notice that I did not mention Global Warming or Climate change as a cause of the drought, even though it does play a part. I don't know much about it, but from what I've read, droughts come and go, though it is probably worse due to climate change.

Anyway, the fact that Cattle produces greenhouse gasses like Methane is common knowledge, and there is a good breakdown of what causes what on this page:

Methane Emissions | Climate Change | US EPA

Methane comes from other sources too including natural sources like wetlands, decomposing bacteria, etc. Most of the methane though is still man made (Coal mining : 10%, Landfills : 18%, petroleum & natural gas : 29%, according to the chart).

Don't fall into Dynamo's stupid sniping example of discussion. Dynamo is completely blind when it comes to science, facts, or anything that contradicts his beliefs, and is also blind to anything I have to say (which is fine by me). GFY is a fun place to hang out and discuss topics and even argue at times, but its only fun when the arguments are based on ... something... anything.. Dynamo can't, so he just does drive-bys...

Peace.

Like I said, I didn't say that drought was caused by global warming. You didn't read what I said. Instead, you cherry-picked bits from it, and jumped to conclusions, just like you fucking, always, do, you, goddam, fucking, moron.

But since you bring it up:

Global Warming Effects on Drought

Global warming affects evapotranspiration—the movement of water into the atmosphere from land and water surfaces and plants due to evaporation and transpiration— which is expected to lead to:

- Increased drought in dry areas
- Expansion of dry areas.

and

Climate change affects a variety of factors associated with drought

Causes of Drought: What's the Climate Connection? | Union of Concerned Scientists

There is high confidence that increased temperatures will lead to more precipitation falling as rain rather than snow, earlier snow melt, and increased evaporation and transpiration. Thus the risk of hydrological and agricultural drought increases as temperatures rise.

Much of the Mountain West has experienced declines in spring snowpack, especially since mid-century [3]. These declines are related to a reduction in precipitation falling as snow (with more falling as rain), and a shift in timing of snowmelt. Earlier snowmelt, associated with warmer temperatures, can lead to water supply being increasingly out of phase with water demands.

While there is some variability in the models for western North America as a whole, climate models unanimously project increased drought in the American Southwest. The Southwest is considered one of the more sensitive regions in the world for increased risk of drought caused by climate change/

So one more time, you miserable fucking prick, you racist, you science denying koch sucker, you animal cruelty lover: Go fuck yourself.

I think what you mean to say is market manipulation. It's just beefs time. In a few months it will be something else they move onto.

Want to know how it works? Google Goldman Sachs and aluminum. Learn what they did there (rotating it between warehouses to create fake demand) and realize they can apply to anything, including beef that spoils.
