I lived in Oz for 5 years. The thought of flying an American flag in their country never crossed my mind.

I did notice in the Australian stores their flags are made in China too lol

I have an American Flag, it's made in the US. I checked when I bought it.
I fly it when I go camping. Use to fly it in my old home, but can't in my condo. Yet I still put it up for the 4th of July!

California used to be part of Mexico and parts of Cali are still in essence more Mexican than American. Besides, just because they have pride for Mexico and fly the flag doesn't mean they have to live there. Brits love to post the Union Jack doesn't mean they want to live there. Do you say that they should go back too or is it just the Mexicans?

You do know that very few confederate soldiers owned slaves right? That the flag you think as the confederate flag was merely a battle flag and the south's secession was not just about slavery. Most soldiers that fought in the civil war were there to protect themselves from the north's advancement.

One of my ancestors was an officer in the Civil war, we still have his Calvary sword. It has a big nick in it. Another of my ancestors was an indentured servant, one step above a slave really.

If I moved to a country for a better life, I would embrace that country I went to, not cherish the country I left.
