I went down there yesterday, I never knew it was there either, fascinating place.
There was a British bike rally going on when I got there but nobody objected when I parked my Harley with all the vintage Triumphs, Nortons and BSAs :winkwink:
Here is that Megola with the engine running
I couldn't believe they had a Crocker there, The Holy Grail of collectable mototcycles, only about 100 ever made
I'm going to go back down there with a better camera some time when there isn't so many people, there were at least 60 bikes parked out on the street from the rally alone.
DK. kr. 65.000
Only 36.000 km on it, and 100% original

Didn't know Solvang had a motorcycle Museum, This was the weirdest motorcycle I saw there, look at the motor built into the front wheel! 1922 Megola

german high tech - lol. never heard of Megola before
the fastest i've gone on a bike is ~165mph, on my 1988 gsxr 750, i paid ~$4000 for that bike brand spanking new! that 165mph was via the speedometer so it's not spot-on, as we all know. figure 10% variance, so 150-180mph.

I will go back next time we go to Solvang, we go every few months to the area. Stay in Lompoc, you can get a suite for $110 to 135 and free drinks during happy hour

I've been on some fast bikes, but never went really fast on them, I've had my Dyna to about 130 I think. I tend to not look down when riding fast. Just a stock 96CI with a 6 six
I have two hondas in my garage, one is a CT 90 trail bike and the other is an ATC 250R that's been bored to 325

Think it's good for someone that only has a 30 mile or less ride to work or a good scooter replacement. Need to add a charging cord like he suggests at the end so it opens up the range you can go as most bikers don't wanna have a 30 mile trip limit before they have to turn around. Personally wouldn't buy one just because I'm in Chicago where people text message like mad/drive like shit so a little too quiet for my taste. If I lived somewhere less congested/suburban possible I'd buy one.

I had my blackbird up to 170, talk about a rush, and it was stable as could be. The bike loved it. I've always had Honda's, still have the Shadow 1100.
:1orglaugh:1orglaugh Downhill I'm a badass! Uphill, not so much.

I consider that a short coming. Being loud means people k now you are there and don't change lanes right over you.
They even have exhaust that can switch from quiet to loud for Harley's

I understand the sound and the love some people have with the sound of bikes and most of the time I'm ok with it, but there was one guy on my street where I used to live who had a bike that was TOO SO FREAKIN' LOUD.
And he was a real ass about it too. When he first got it, he would fire it up around 8am every morning and Rev it for no reason at all. Ok he was enjoying his bike, but after a few days of this crap it really got on my nerves. And when he would drive away it was even louder.
Anyway, the new HD Electric has a sound that is sweet to me. They dun good.

I seem to be hurting your feelings, you keep coming back trying to strike out at me, I'm sure your therapist would have something to say about that
Even fat and out of shape, you are still no match for me. What does that say about you? LOL
