With the abundance of content theft, and the devaluing of everything from content to wages as a direct result, combined with largely ineffective legal means to permanently thwart piracy, it cannot be that much a surprise to people that producers are reaching the end of their proverbial rope. Right or wrong, I am frankly surprised a rash of violence has not occurred long before now.

See THIS is what I do not understand. You are correct (of course) that there must be hundreds of thousands of scenes on various sites they can monetize for years so WHY keep stealing and ripping the newest updates? A surfer looking for MILF anal creampies, does he care if the scene he is wanking to is a year old or a week old?

We produce a lot of content and use both Remove Your Content and Nate Glass to fight piracy, it's like playing whack a mole, it's never ending and it's costly.

I'm all for fighting piracy, it's the keyboard warrior attitude of "I'm going to post real names and addresses" all the way to the "shooting you in the face" that is just ridiculous.

It was sarcasm, threatening employees of companies along with the owners.
Stop with the empty threats and do something about it, then post about what you did not what you're going to do.

Everyone has their own approach, but we're all content producers in the same demise. I use PornGuardian for my DMCA and I focus on the organized crime activity in my members area, it's a much smaller arena than focusing solely on content that's already public.

There are a few predictable triggers that indicate who they are, and there's really no way for them to mask those triggers if they want to continue being effective and stealing new, or fairly new, content, even with their multiple accounts.

In talking to a few other producers in the past I was surprised at how many just ban a user they find is pirating. It's best to use what I call "passive protection". You watch them, record what they do, learn from them, and adapt your strategy.

This is the most HORSE SHIT thing I hear constantly from people.

I whack moles and they stay down and others DO NOT pop up right away - fighting piracy of your content WORKS. Anyone that spends the time and effort to protect their intellectual property knows that keeping your stuff exclusive and unseen will directly increase your revenue.

When you say fighting piracy is whack a mole - producers read that and they don't even try - this is incredibly damaging. Content Producers who do nothing to protect their stuff are a HUGE problem, it gives carte blanche freedom for thieves to run hog wild

I read so many otherwise intelligent people saying things like "If you just spent your time working on shooting forgot about chasing pirates you would end up more successful in the end" This attitude is what empowers pirates to continue their leeching and wholesale destruction of the industry.

Also the biggie is "The people who pay for porn are a totally different consumer that people who torrent" While this has some element of truth there for many types of content it's not true at all. The more targeted and specific your material is, the more rare, unique, or sought after your content is - the less this is true. My content is rare and highly sought after and the exact same guys will gladly pay me or pay a filelocker or do torrents. I see instant and direct results from takedowns.

This industry is systematically LETTING piracy happen through complacency and inaction. When you guys throw up your hands and say "Well there is so much piracy nothing you can do to stop it" BULLSHIT. I go after them with private investigators, lawyers and shit storms of DMCA. And they stop, they stop NOW.

When you are a small company with highly specific and highly in demand content - piracy is DEVASTATING. I have some pirates that probably make as much money as I do with my content, the few who refuse to stop will regret it and I am not talking about shooting them or beating them up, street justice can take many forms and I am smart enough not to land in jail.

You assholes chose to make DMCA impossible so the gloves are off now with regards to a couple of my worst offenders (pretty sure 2 of them are here on GFY) I'm sitting here looking at photos of them - full Names, Address, DOB, moms address', GF's address, DL - backgrounds, employers.

You think I won't serve papers to your moms house so she can read the whole compliant and know what a scumbag you are? You think I won't drop a file on your GF's table at starbucks or show up at your wedding (yes she instagrams your entire life) and make a scene? You think I won't walk in and have a talk with your boss about what you are doing with your work computer on company time?

Non-standard forms of fighting pirates don't necessarily mean violence or killing. But if I caught someone in my house stealing jewelry they might not survive, and this isn't a whole lot different.

He thought he was being sneaky by changing part of his name & address on his signup info.

one reason for the piling on and name calling is that some of them are either all out pirates or in bed in some way with pirates. They are making money from piracy but because they aren't the ones actually chopping watermarks they think they are innocent bystanders.
