They don't take away a medal from you because you like to wear a dress all of a sudden. Just like that Special Forces guy who now dresses like a woman - No matter what you say, he (she?) was in fact special forces and now that he / she wears a dress doesn't change that.

I don't understand it and with any luck, I never will.

Of course they are his...I am just joking because if you watched that Kardasian show he's really quite the asshole it seems in "real life"!

They are his of course.

And their argument? It's not fair that a future female destroyed all other male athletes of the time and set a world record?

Does this not negate any argument, therefore, that females can not compete with males -- a rule so staunchly defended by the IOC?

Such nonsense. Apparently, some folks have way too much time on their hands.

Actually... Very understandable...

Say a woman wants to play NFL football and she gets a pass on being drug tested for male hormones because of her gender reassignment surgery and ends up going from a 180lb women into a 320lb line backer. Years later will her team be stripped of their super bowl rings?

A petition posted to change.org is asking the International Olympic Committee to take back the gold medal Caitlyn Jenner won in the decathlon at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.

"We congratulate Ms. Jenner on these new developments and wish her the best," the petition states. "However, this creates somewhat of a problem as Ms. Jenner (as talented as she is) claims that she has always believed herself to be truly female, and therefore, was in violation of committee rules regarding women competing in men's sports and vice versa."

The IOC has long struggled with how to differentiate men and women, based off the assumption that the two genders should not compete against one another in contests of athletic ability. For years, all female Olympians were subjected to the humiliating process of mandatory gender verification. That practice was stopped en masse in the 1990s, though the IOC still retains the right to seek gender verification for specific athletes.

I know a few people previously ignorant and transphobic, who now look at it in a new and more positive light. Caitlyn Jenner is wholly responsible for that change.

It is natural that someone who already had the spotlight on them would want to bring awareness. Caitlyn Jenner is no different than Laverne Cox, but I've never heard similar comments made about her; they're both advocates due to already being well-known. Just because she's part of a celebrity family with a reality TV show, does not mean that Caitlyn's family does not sometimes deal with major and very real things. All families do. Some just happen to be on TV.

The sooner more people accept it, the sooner people like MiamiBoyz above will finally be able to admit their own feelings.

Accept what? The fact that people group themselves into any possible retarded special interest. Constantly reminding others (who don't fucking care) that they are different but at the sane time pushing people to accept them as "regular"?

No one fucking cares anymore about your lame stats. "Struggles" or what you go through. Live your life and shut the hell up.

Only weak people expect everyone to accept them for every micro cosmic thing about themselves.

You're just attention whores and WANT the spotlight. Get over it.

There's a tranny that fights in mma tournaments. She is 5 and 1 so far. Some of her competitors have complained about how overpowering and strong she is. Sounds like the ufc would never let her compete though.

GFY must have been compromised as I clicked on a thread and seem to have landed in the comments section of TMZ.

What a bunch of crap.

As a young college reporter I had the pleasure of interviewing Bruce Jenner after the Olympic games.

It was a great experience.

I wish him/her the best in his/her life.
