We can read as iPhone users are generally smarter/more successful and the reason we give not a single fuck about price. We just consider GFY like family and we wouldn't tell a family member to go buy some inferior phone with a horseshit eco-system. There is no price limit for Superior quality.

I still use an S3, and will use it until it dies. I've been happy with it.

I'd seriously consider going back to a flip phone if I could find one I liked. I am not someone who takes their phone too seriously. I need to be able to connect, but I don't want to pay a fortune for something.

I got my S4 just slightly before the S5 came out - and have no intention of upgrading. I've looked at the Edge, but a slightly curved screen doesn't do much for me. I love the S4.

Are you on contract or month-to-month and have to pay the full price of the phone? If on contract, I would pretty much go with ANY last generation phone because carriers barely charge for those (due to focus on the newer products).

If you have to pay the full price and are looking for something that just works, here are a few great phones that shouldn't be too expensive now since new ones are all the craze:

- Galaxy S4
- iPhone 5
- Motorola Moto E (2nd gen, very minimalist smartphone)
- Motorola Moto G (2nd gen)

I really like xperia phones, I still have a little old x8, I have it for more than 5 years, I brought it between every kind of harsh conditions around the world, dropped it a million times, once I threw it to the wall... xD (someone called me at a really wrong time)... never had any problem with it :D
