Sent a client to do a XX,XXX deal long ago... The deal went smoothly, but for 'whatever reason' the promised referal payment never got sent to me. The funny part is, when I'm offered referral fees I tell my client and I refund that amount back to the client... So the referral fee paid to me actually becomes a discount returned to my client. Now as a result, I won't refer anyone else to them, and my client won't buy anything else from them.

So then all those old jokes about the polish (PolackJokes.com) being stupid morons have some truth to them?

I could list a whole lot more, this guy has been working his way up from scamming people out of $5 logos to content so what's next ? This guy is working towards a bigger scam all of the time.

So you should better give the discount to your client when you have the referral money in your pocket, as a surefire surprise for the client, than being so hillarious upfront and maybe often promising things you cannot hold....
