You lost me at : MYTH - The War of 1861 - 1865 was fought over slavery.

When each state left the union they wrote a deceleration of why they were doing so.
Each state putting ink to paper outlining their reasons. In all these declarations you can easily read slavery as a key point. You do not need to follow the history books or propaganda. You can simply follow each stats own written words.

MYTH - The War of 1861 - 1865 was fought over slavery.

FACT - Terribly untrue. The North fought the war over money.

Why did the South want to keep slavery?

Why after they were beaten did they impose a financial slavery?

Secondly, if you were merely curious about my hobby outside the adult industry, you could have simply PM'ed me. But no, you decided it was appropriate to make an irrelevant post about me and my hobby. Yet you yourself get your panties in a bunch when people reference irrelevant subjects like your real name claiming that doing so threatens your family. Pure hypocrisy. (No I won't publicly mention your real name or what you do, not because I have any respect for you, but because I won't stoop to that level of discourse.)

I've really tried to be diplomatic with you.... I like to know who I'm chatting with, their history.... I did not want to search all your threads to see if you're the bike builder, so I just did the simple thing: I asked.

if you view me asking a question as 'intellectually dishonest' you have weirder issues than I has suspected and yes ousting me in the community where I live would certainly harm my family.

if you don't understand why you really have no understanding of content production and the implications in the community.... and for some reason you think this is hypocrisy... ?????? it probably is.... the community for the most part uses my product yet will osteorize me for creating it....

seriously, are you stupid? I'm beginning to wonder.... and just so you know, I do realize that being OCD about grammar is not a sign of intelligence.. I figure you're just a creepy troll if nothing else.... well mission accomplished you have made the ignor list :thumbsup

You are confusing the secession and the war. Yes the confederate states withdrew from the Union, because their economies were at stake over slavery. However the North did not go to battle with the south over slavery.

The north fought the south in order to force the south back into the union and to control them. union troops would not of marched on the slave holding states over slavery had they not left the union. Slavery, would have continued on for a very long time if there was no break in the union at that time.

Go read The Declaration of Causes of Seceding States. It states in black and white why secession took place and it wasn't for their right to keep eating grits.

Lincoln should have just let them secede. They would be a 3rd world country and the rest of the US would be that much better off.

this is a subtle point. the op myth claims the war was not fought over slavery because the North was fighting to keep the Union intact. that's misleading. a war is fought by 2 sides. it is most certainly true that's why the North DEFENDED the union against the OFFENSIVE attack by the South. the South, by their own accounts, words, deeds and documents, were fighting to protect their economic system of slavery.

did you think the states would write we quit because the northern industrialist are taking our money with the help of corrupt politicians? why did we not go to Iraq with the statement: big business wants the oil?

and the emancipation proclamation only outlawed slavery in the south, not the north. it's nice an informed exchange with you... a great thread for sure.... :thumbsup

dad?

people who have actually, you know, attended college and achieved their degree understand that people put themselves through college for a multitude of reasons.

and people who have actually attended college also know how to read and follow a thread and would have read my earlier comment that i went to school to learn how to learn, not get a technical degree.

but hey, i wouldn't expect the guy who had no idea about the cotton gin to grasp any of that.

I remember my days as lab tutor and fucktards like you. 6 to 10 PM shift. I would roll in half drunk and have 10-15 people on waiting list. 14 out of them had problems locating their Hello World homework for Intro 101 class because they saved it on C drive instead of their floppy. The 15th was some Chinese kid trying to figure out how you pass object variables in C++ I can bet your house on wheels the first 14 are probably your neighbors fixing their 1993 Chevy Silverados this weekend. :1orglaugh

dyna mo 07-16-2015 10:45 AM

i knew your were going to mention C++

ahahahahah. but hey, congrats on knowing how to pass a variable and get the syntax right. when guys like me tell your boss's boss what we need programmed, you'll get tasked with your little snippet of code to bang out on your keyboard.

nevertheless, the good news is i've taught you some valuable lessons in this thread and shown you some wonderful inventions you were unaware of, like the cotton gin.

claims the guy saying he went to a 4 year college only to learn to write code. heads-up, you could have learned that online at any trade school in a few months and the school you chose is more known for a spree shooting on campus than cranking out decent coders.

I learned a lot more than just writing code, shit for brains. and good on you for realizing you need to go to a 4 year college to learn a language like C++ to pay your rent. but unlike you, i went to college for fun. in fact, i eschewed the pre-defined path working in a family business i was destined for, to attend school.
