Alright, so that fucker just left my house (2am). Burning some midnight oil! We have it figured out and I'm actually pretty excited about this adventure. The plan is pretty solid and it's only going to cost $3,700 to start. We put the numbers together and he could stand to build a pretty solid business. With that $3,700 he has the potential to make $68,000, and it will continue to grow from there. That's even paying commissions to sales people or affiliates.

Without going into a lot of boring details, we found him a product to import that he can market and sell online. It sells like crazy on eBay but there's hardly any actual sites other than Amazon and eBay selling it. So it will be really easy to optimize, and he got a killer domain name with the keywords right in the name. Cha Ching! The product is ordered and the only problem we have now is we have to find a place in his garage to store 900kg of product. That's a lot of fucking weight! :1orglaugh

Thanks for all of the advice. Most of you suck, but some of you rock! To the ones that rock :thumbsup

Glad you worked it all out. Personally I would just use the money to take a 2 week vaca and party like a rock star.

$3,700 ... $68,000 nice margin.

I don't think Pablo Escobar had that kind of markup.

Only lottery winners have margins like that.

you should setup a blog, describing each day how everything is going, share tips, tutorials, pitfalls, funny customer service emails, etc... call it "12 month 10k to 100k challenge" or something like that... (obviously you would omit some crucial details, so not to teach your competition exactly what product you are selling...) :2 cents:

Um yeah, it was late and I hit the wrong key. It's $18,000 potential return, NOT $68,000. It was late, my eyes hurt, and I was excited about a new business idea that came together. :thumbsup :1orglaugh

Great idea! It will also be a good way to build traffic for the main site. It's a product everyone could (and should) use. :thumbsup

I don't think 10k is enough for anything now a days :(

You are wrong.
And on top of that - nowadays it is easier/cheaper to open a business than it was before online era.

That makes more sense. (But I was willing to Fed-X some cash to get in on the other figures, lol) :thumbsup
