and let's not forget, ********** is the guy who thinks an apology from a gfyer will cure his lingering resentment issues and allow him to change into a better person.
Quote:
i'm not in control of you **********, as much as you'd like to think that i am. people with integrity do not need apologies from strangers to force themselves to act respectable and keep shit above the belt. i certainly do not expect better from you, you're the guy who exclaims that everyone who does not drive an EV should be punished while you drive around in, yup, a car with a gas engine. you're the guy that feigns outrage by my use of the word fuck while you insult my deceased mother with unrepeatable mean-spirited words. |
Quote:
Why are you crying so much? We are just treating you exactly how you treat us.. Man up and quit your whines, you are acting like a little girl. |
you mean like how i offered you an opportunity to knock it off?
i don't see you treating me that way. man up? you couldn't even acknowledge Robbie's compliment. talk about acting like a little child. moreover, i've proven everything you claimed wrong in this thread. every fucking wild ass ridiculous claim you've hurled. so there's no reason for me or anyone to think you are right about anything, and in fact, as they have shown in this thread, no one does. the only reason ********** is trying to hi-5 you is he thinks the two of you combined can match wits with me. but even with you two working together, it's beyond obvious you are both so far in over your head that the only desperate move either of you have is to make it personal, claim i have a medical condition just so you can then insult me about the wild ass medical condition you just fucking made up in your head. |
So the question of taxing electric cars is now settled right? heh-heh

How fast is the recharge? Not gonna pay a guy $20-$30+ to sit there for 30-60 minutes considering there is already an 11 hour driving time regulation which could possibly be reduced in the future so don't have 30-60 minutes to waste as truck drivers are already in short supply and continuing to get worse... Truck driver shortage gets desperate These are the top 10 in-demand jobs of 2015 - Fortune Initial Costs/Fuel Savings/Repair Costs analysis to replace a traditional tractor with an Electric tractor. I was kind of amazed that Tesla could do it. And Nissan could make the "Leaf" electric car as well. And then the best Detroit could come up with was the Chevy Volt. I was in amazement that with all their infrastructure and history...they couldn't even make an electric car. I would almost bet the farm that the unions have a lot to do with that. Union workers who "specialize" in the making of combustible engine cars would lose their jobs with the much simpler electric cars. And the ones that didn't lose their jobs would have to be re-trained. Think about it: No more need for people to build or install a transmission for instance. Or a starter motor. Or a hundred other things that are not required for an EV. Detroit is fucked. That's why the U.S. auto industry isn't dominating the world like it should. Don't get me wrong...it's still pretty damn dominant, which is a testament to the industry. But if they weren't shackled by unions and state govt. over regulating and taxing them...I believe that the Detroit auto industry would OWN the world again. And that would bring new (different) jobs to Detroit with good wages. Just like it does in South Carolina, Tennessee, and other states where foreign car manufacturers have built plants free of Unions and brought good paying jobs to their areas. |
guys, do you realize whenever you get in these page long debates with eachother that noone else is reading it? You're not gonna convince eachother, and everyone else doesnt read any of it. So you're pretty much wasting time. Just a tip :)

Yes I agree with you. 800 Mile range and fast recharging would be fantastic. Currently (ha!) I get about 50 miles and recharging takes 4 hours. Tesla's get about 200 miles in 20 minutes I think, and I would love to have that, which is why with any luck, I'll be buying a Tesla next year. Hopefully in the not too distance future though, batteries in all makes of cars and trucks will be at least 500 miles, with super-fast charge times. Quote:
I can plug my car in at home and drive to the city and back on nothing but electricity. The motor that drives the wheels is 100% electric. When the battery is depleted, a gasoline engine kicks in that turns a generator that provides electricity to the electric motor that turns the wheels. You can also charge the battery while on gas, but that of course isn't an efficient use of energy. Quote:

Peace. |
**********, still exclaiming a chevy volt is electric.
he has too though, how else could he look down his nose at everyone? makes sense coming from the guy who starts *look at me i scooped up a frog* threads |

It might Suprise you, but GM made and sold on a lease electric cars back in the 80s or 90s I forget which. The majority of the people whom leased them loved them, but at the end of the lease GM forced everyone to turn them In and then GM crushed them. Despite the previous users wanting to buy them. Turns out big oil was in on getting GM to walk away from the electric car which could of been a success in the 80s and 90s. You should look up the documentary called "who killed the electric car" |
Quote:
Also electric cars were pretty big as far back as the late 1800's. Matter of face the taxi cabs in New York City were electric over 100 years ago: "The first taxicab company in New York City was the Samuel's Electric Carriage and Wagon Company, which began running 12 electric hansom cabs in July 1897. The company ran until 1898 with up to 62 cabs operating until it was reformed by its financiers to form the Electric Vehicle Company. The company then built the Electrobat electric car, and had up to 100 taxicabs running in total by 1899." And now in 2015...Detroit still seems to be unable to match what was already being done in the 1890's. No wonder that town is in ruins. |
Quote:
as far as a conspiracy by big oil to take it out, its plausible, but unlikely, cause there were so few of them relative to gas cars. what would an oil exec worry about? maybe GM simply did not want to support parts for such a project as it would be expensive. that would be more plausible than big-oil-made-them-do-it. LOL. the fact you bring up propaganda crap as evidence of anything shows how much effort you make to inform yourself. :) |

So again I gotta ask....is anybody still discussing the road tax issue with electric cars? :(
|
Quote:

Quote:
If the tax goes towards paying for roads and bridges that's fine. Since the revenue that governments make on taxes added to gas would drop, it makes more sense to tax all cars on the miles driven, regardless of where they get their energy. Or even better, don't make it a tax - just add more toll booths. |

you were like a wide-eyed school girl rushing in to tell mommy about your big froggy save. folks that routinely help others and contribute their time to their community are not phased by such acts, they scoop a frog out of water and go about their day, they don't go looking for accolades and recognition by starting threads about it. and i feel just fine **********, i feel just as fine now as i did before you entered this thread and out of the blue pointed your crooked finger at me exclaiming wildly that i flip out with fuck fuck fucky fuck on people like you, and before your internet psych evaluation declaring me depressed so you can then point your crooked finger at me for being depressed. |

after you get acclimated to that, *maybe* you can start working towards critical thinking. baby steps though. |

To answer your questions: I actually don't volunteer for anything, but I have served food at Soup kitchens around Christmas, new toys to shelters, and once IKEA was selling teddy bears for $2.00, so I bought giant box of them and gave it to a foundation. **********, you haven't heard of 4g LTE and cellular networks? weird since you're in here acting like you know wtf you're talking about while playing internet doctor on top of it.
4g LTE is a high-speed data network for mobile devices. it allows people to surf the web from mobile locations such as the beach. |
