escalope didn't originate in Italy, but every Italian will say it's local

or chocolate mousse is also originally French, but the country you must try it... Portugal, they consistently have the best ones if you walk into a random restaurant and every restaurant will have it.

unique.... then almost nothing, because if you would know Europe only a tiny bit, you would know that many countries also share a certain type of kitchen and dishes. Goulash was invented in Hungary, but every country around it has their own version of goulash, btw when most people think goulash what they have in mind is more like the Czech or Slovak version then the original Hungarian version

so according to your logic don't try goulash or sausages (which r 100% local), because they originally came from Hungary or Germany.
Also current country borders were not the same as they were 200 years ago, hell countries might not even have existed back then.
