Your movie sucks and so do you lol

J. Falcon 09-20-2015 07:51 PM

Yes I'm a movie snob/elitist. I want the movie industry to start making good shit again and stop catering to braindead zombies like you.

dyna mo 09-20-2015 07:57 PM

Not every fucking movie is gonna star meryl streep. And that has nothing to do with you being a major fucking party foul. I mean wow how much not fun are you? A lot.

georgeyw 09-20-2015 08:00 PM

I like debating the movie, not sure about where this thread ended up....

As Dyna said - different strokes!

dyna mo 09-20-2015 08:02 PM

And heads-up, party foul, I never exclaimed inception and interstellar were works of art, in fact what I claimed is that they have their fucking share of flaws in spite of being plotbased films.

Fuckwad.

I'm with you, its very fun. There's nothing wrong with not liking the movie. Or wherever anyone is on it.

Yup, that's how I am with most movies too. Any kind of movie could catch my eye or not. these days with the hassle of going to a movie, I've got to be pretty excited about it.

SilentKnight 09-20-2015 08:12 PM

We have a local guy that built a replica of the first Mad Max car - right down to the blower unit. Takes it around to a few local car shows each summer. I've got pics of it somewhere, draws a crowd everywhere he goes.

What do y'all think of Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky? I'm not so sure yet...he's got a shot.

Mad Max wasteland starts filming next year.

I'm hoping so too. Sometimes in this movie he completely reminded me of Gary Shandling. But he was solid in some up-close scenes. He was good in the scene after nux's car crashed.

nico-t 09-21-2015 04:32 AM

watched it yesterday and was a bit dissapointed. It was allright but forgettable...

First 15-20 minutes I thought at one point: Where is max? I thought this movie was about him?

I am a car guy, but I didn't care much for the chase scenes. Yes it is spectacular at some points but for me all the chase scenes in it they tried too hard with too much going on.

Then when max finally gets the focus he plays a supporting part. It wasn't what i expected from a movie called 'mad max'.

Plus that guitar guy: Terrible, childish, and it really took me out the movie. Guy is bright red with a brand new shiny speaker wall, and that in a dusty desert where all other people and cars look the part. Except for that one. I thought it was really stupid and a lame gimmick.

No Max roaming around alone like in the other movies. The opening shot i was excited, he was standing there alone next to his car, and i was preparing for another legendary mad max movie. Sadly that didnt happen.

i noticed the same thing about the doof wagon. but i thought all the cars looked cleaner than i would have expected. the weird thing is this isn't cgi, they are all this clean while driving in the desert.

A maddening movie indeed ...

dyna mo 09-21-2015 08:04 AM

holy shit, this film has a 97% critic rating at rotten tomatoes! and an 88% audience score!

that's one of the highest ratings there!

Critics Consensus: With exhilarating action and a surprising amount of narrative heft, Mad Max: Fury Road brings George Miller's post-apocalyptic franchise roaring vigorously back to life.

I saw it in the theatre, went back to watch in 3d. Watched it twice at home now.

My favorite movie of the year. Cant wait for wastelands!

It's no wonder you loved this crap film.

I think Dynamo is a dink, but how are Inception and Interstellar PSEUDO intellectual?

Interstellar was made with the help with Kip Thorne, a real theoretical physicist in gravity and astrophysics. The movie deals with space, relativity, time dilation, wormholes, black holes, and a universe beyond 3 dimensions, all of which are proven scientific facts. Nothing "pseudo" these at all.

Inception is a fantastic multilayered mind-bending story with loads of layer and detail. Of course there is the story of Cobb's mission but there is also a deeper story about Cobb and Mal, and of course, the ultimate mind-fuck at the very last second.

Both movies are in my top 5 favourite movies of all time.

If you get the chance, consider re-watching both of them.

If you think that both movies are "pseudo-intellectual drivel", can I ask you what some of your favourite movies are and why?

Cheers.

did you get a chance to watch the bts stuff? killer right? i thought it really adds to the movie.

Sly 09-21-2015 10:03 AM

dyna do you have the Interstellar BluRay? I have a player but the only disc I have is: Amazon.com: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (Deluxe Edition) [Blu-ray]: Jay Oliva: Movies & TV (which is quite good, not very intellectual though :-( )

I saw Interstellar at a true IMAX and it was great, curious how it would be on my dinky 53" LOL.

sure do, and it's breathtaking, i don't have a super fancy tele either, 43" vizio LED. I don't think you'd go wrong with snagging it. and the movie certainly stands up to repeat viewings.

Rob 09-21-2015 10:59 AM

I liked the movie a lot, especially Elvis' granddaughter. :thumbsup

You're a bookworm who certainly likes a good yarn. How did you get past the minimal plot to like this film?

You'll have to ask George Miller your question. I don't have a problem with tough and silly, in fact, I dig it.

I saw it in IMAX and loved it, and went back to see it a week later in IMAX again.

I'm waiting to upgrade my home sound system (Dolby Atmos woo!) and will watch it again after that.

There's not joke. Elvis' granddaughter plays in the movie, and I think she's insanely hot. Watching her makes my man parts move a little.

i see, so you're using a disparaging slur for Vietnamese to try and insult me in my fun thread about a movie.

from your link:

Origin of DINK

perhaps from dink, disparaging name for a Vietnamese

all while claiming you're not a pseudo-intellectual. got it.
