I don't know French but in Russian and in English it always means Agaricus Bisporus (aka champignon mushroom).

I enjoy doing it each fall. Just picked a huge batch of these ones:

https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traktk...is_Karonen.jpg

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanterelle (second favorite)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boletus_edulis (favorite)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydnum_rufescens (close in taste to chantarelle - awesome, and you cant go wrong)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leccinum_versipelle (close to porcini, but needs treatment to avoid stomach issues. Tastes great)

And a few other ones I am confident I wont get in trouble eating.

Picking mushrooms is to me like others do meditation - and I also love cooking with them. Glad seeing others appreciate the good things in life as well.

Respect :thumbsup

I love 2nd, 3d and 5th in your list (as most/all of the mushrooming guys do).
1st and 4th are unknown to me, everything that looks like Chanterelles I do not take, as I know at least one of them are bad, and I am not an expert on determining which, so I do not take anything similar to Chanterelle at all :)

A small offtopic. What's about Tea Mushroom (aka Medusomyces gisevi, aka Kombucha). Is there anybody who uses it? :)

Yes because they cook the same way across the entire country.... Louisiana has some amazing food, yet you chose to eat fried crocodile.

My Mother-in-Law's neighbours gave us a huge basket of wild mushrooms. Made a delicious Mushroom and Potato soup, Pork and Mushroom pie, Chines Port and Mushroom and battered mushroom.

And the Apple Tree has a bumper crop this year. So looking for recipes. :thumbsup
