This is a great question. I'd pickup ManyVids and Chaturbate because of their steady growth. VirtualRealPorn because because its a pioneer in the VR industry and will maintain a competitive edge if they continue to improve their shooting techniques.

I would invest in a software company. Also there are a couple of networks i like (javbucks, nastydollars). Xhamster is also good.

I honestly think a lot of you would be very disappointed and would urge better due diligence.

Seriously, most of the picks here seem based on personality and assumptions about things rather than actual earnings, current market conditions, and potential liabilities.

That's what I was saying. Bad question, worse answers. Answering is an admission to understanding nothing about investing at all, in any way, on any level. Then of course, most people here have also never invested in anything beyond a cheeseburger either.

Kenny B! 10-08-2015 07:56 AM

It's a fantasy question with fantasy answers.

That cheeseburger was a much better investment than worldcom, enron and many other blue chip stocks and madoff type ponzi schemes over the last while:-)

Most corporate structures of big porn companies involve tax havens. (Local Taxation Risk)

Fun hypothetical question. If every adult site were a publicly listed stock. Which 5 would you invest in? There is one restriction you can only pick two of the same type of stock (ie 2 tube sites, or 2 cam sites or 2 billers).

I would find up and coming solo sites. People want original content they can't get on tubes. Something more personal.

Agreed, I get it. I just think most people here would be losing their asses unless they were hedging bets with shorts on many of the "stocks" mentioned thus far so I had to play Devil's Advocate for a second.

If I had to pick a pay site, it would be something like Voyeur Web / redclouds which I see as a blue chip of amateur porn. I see some risk and liability with their model but not as much as I see for the tube sites with their pay sites built with stolen content.

Dating I would go with the breakout Tinder which I think of as a disruptive tech fast growth big potential stock that is steadily turning the dating game inside out.

Billing I guess Epoch would be my pic just for the moves they have made in the last couple years getting Paypal, one click cross sells, etc. I like how lean and clean Netbilling and Rocketgate run but wonder about their growth potential in the declining pay site landscape.

Fascinating not how everyone would invest in own company, at least 2 or 3 guys missed to post own company in the list :)

Not really. I intentionally didn't post Homegrown for several reasons. One, if everyone just posts their own company it devolves the thread into a spammy waste of time. Two, the theme of the OP was if companies were public stocks and HGV would be privately held so it would not even list on such an imaginary exchange. And three, where is the fun or imagination in doing that?

maxjohan 10-11-2015 06:08 AM

I say. XNXX guys. Are those the ones who got the Xvideos.com too?? Or other guys?

Anyways. XNXX bought XXX.com and now recently Porno.com. I had made the exact same moves if I had the money. You can't get much better adult domains than those.

Type-in traffic day and night. Smart move.

IAC just spun off all it's dating brands. I believe they own 10% of Tinder. IPO was today. Already up 22%.

Tinder CEO is getting a lot of heat for this interview. I'm about to read it.

Tinder? I'm an addict, says hook-up app's co-creator and CEO Sean Rad | London Life | Lifestyle | London Evening Standard

Match Group released this statement:

The article was not approved or condoned by, and the content of the article was not reviewed by, the Company or any of its affiliates. Mr. Rad is not a director or executive officer of the Company and was not authorized to make statements on behalf of the Company for purposes of the article. The article noted that "Analysts believe the [Tinder] app, which launched in 2012, has around 80 million users worldwide and records 1.8 billion 'swipes' a day." While these statements were not made by Mr. Rad, the Company notes that they are inaccurate and directs readers to the Preliminary Prospectus, which states that for the month of September 2015, Tinder had approximately 9.6 million daily active users, with Tinder users "swiping" through an average of more than 1.4 billion user profiles each day.
