- BUK are produced by russian Company Almaz-Antej
- The BUK was supplied by Almaz-Antej to the Ukraine armed forces
- A BUK missile system was reported stole(missing) from a Ukraine base shortly before the attack
- Fired from an area mostly controlled by the Rebels (majority pro-russian)
- Most likely fired by rebels formerly part of the ukraine armed forces

for the records: I would never say Putin is responsible for this.

Putin is responsible for supplying the people that do not agree with the Ukrainian government (in case "pro-Russian rebel" is the wrong expression) with supplies and "vacationing" personnel. Which he said himself on TV and which was also confirmed by the former Russian (as in: has Russian nationality/passport) rebel leader Strelkov. Who was also pissed that Putin didn't send more weapons - there is a long interview with him about the whole thing.

and I still think the Buk was captured and used by the unhappy folks (aka rebels) from Eastern Ukraine who screwed up - as heard in that radio (phone?) recording that disappeared and shown on video when they searched through the remains of MH17 and were surprised it's a civil plane.

As I said already, the missile moves from above and ahead the target and then explodes. The shrapnel does multiple penetrations in the fuselage which is being teared into pieces by the air flow. There is no conspiracy about it. I also think that MH17 was shot down but BUK. The one which was captured by separatists from the Ukrainian army. But I still can't understand how Russia could be related to that? The Ukrainian army is equipped with BUK systems made in Russia. So what?
