what i love about the OPs topic is that is means that hilary, if nominated, will fail to turn out her base. its funny because there are a lot of left wing people & the poor white trump supporters that totally agree on populist policies, like no more free-trade agreements, raising taxes on certain rich people who bought themselves a break, ending corporate welfare & the governments slavery to lobby money. trump & sander supporters have similar positions, believe it or not.

our first world western society has become so totally dependent on endless oil, water electricity & money, that a severe interruption in any of these infrastructures will cause social calamity that will utterly destroy the emerging PC thought fascism that is turning people into entitled lazy useless blobs who starve to death without their social media. the most likely cause of this will be a crash on wall street that our bloated government can no longer bailout. when the banking system stops functioning, its gonna be a right wing survivalists wet dream!

not saying he'd keep us out of it all, but he is the only one saying that's what he'd strive to do.

Who cares who will be president, when you have a military budget of $ 600 billion a year.
how many already spent for wars? Trump said in the debate that the $ 2 trillion + the annual military budget of 600 billion a year.
PS: Sanders - Sanders will loses, delays a pacifistic segment of voters.

this would make sense, if it, you know, actually made sense.

It does not matter WHO the "President" is.
Haven't we learned this lesson already by now???

i haven't learned that, no. that's because in my experience, that's not the case.

Governments are owned by the people who buy them. If they sell out too much to those who buy them, revolution occurs.

If they sell out too much to those who can't afford to buy them. The rich leave taking their money with them.

It's a tricky balancing act. Marxism is for a time when wealth flowed in from the Third World and so long as it kept coming it would succeed. Russia never had that external wealth and it failed there.

Today wealth is easy to transfer and much of it is in the Third World. Lose that and it will be time to grab your guns. The banks would crash over night if the money from the Third World stopped flowing in.

The people to blame are the Presidents and Prime Ministers who thought it was cool that people could buy a product made by someone on $5 a week, rather than someone on $500 a week. And the Unions for thinking their workers, buying the shirts, were irreplaceable.

Now try and suggest how any President can fix this? Playing too tough with the men who hold all the cards, isn't a good policy.

Paul Markham 11-11-2015 11:22 AM

When I say "Owned by the people who buy them." Think further than big business spending billions to by votes. Think of companies who provide jobs, people who pay a lot of taxes. They also have the freedom to leave.

I would place an empty envelope. That would be my vote since all options suck.

Trump or nothing

what planet you on, bro. :1orglaugh

in any case your wrong. the rich have nowhere to go. or they would go there. its really about whether the western world is democratic, or a form of corporate fascism, where big money is all that matters, & everyone else is working for peanuts. at this point the pendulum is heavily in favor of corporatist tyranny. who can seize it back for the voters, the workers? neither party today.
