Wrong again:

Barely a week later came another ugly on-campus incident.

Shortly after midnight on Oct. 5, members of the Legion of Black Collegians (LBC) were in a campus plaza rehearsing for a play the following night when ?an inebriated white male? called them ?n??s.?

This time, the university responded more promptly, with Loftin issuing a statement denouncing the incidents. ?We support free speech in the context of learning, spirited inquiry and intellectual discussion, but acts of bias and discrimination will not be tolerated at Mizzou,? he wrote.
I'm getting tired correcting your ambiguous statements.

It's just reversed racism and is the exact same thing as a white guy calling a black person the n word in a hateful way.

Once you start using a word in a non racial, way, you can't then rightfully complain if others use it in a non racial way..

Since you just used "honky" on the internet you should not be offended if I call you a honky right?

Nothing you quoted refutes the protesters saying they feel unsafe.

Well if you think it is reasonably possible that a Cocker Spaniel is typing on the internet, you might indeed be wasting your time.

And what do you mean no one gives a shit if a black calls people honky or cracker? That is offensive.

No one said that black are using the n-word in a non-racial way...they indeed are using it in a racial way since they only use it to refer to other blacks. The difference is the intent.

What you are saying is the exact definition of racism.. I can't use a word because I'm not black.. It's like saying a black person can't drink from a certain water fountain because he's not white aND it would be offensive to white people to allow blacks to drink from it...

You are examining n-word usage on a superficial level. You fail to recognize the intent behind the usage. If a black used the n-word as a term of endearment towards another black, that is entirely different than if a person uses the term to intimidate a black.

Furthermore, blacks sometimes use the n-word among themselves to communicate a shared "poor black experience" (sometimes sarcastically). So it is inappropriate for a white to use it in that manner. It would be the same if whites used the word "cracker" among themselves to communicate a shared "poor white experience"...it would be inappropriate/offensive for a black to use it in that manner.

I have always maintained a simple attitude towards this. If you don't want other people referring to you using a certain word, don't use that word to refer to yourself or others.

I don't buy the bullshit of, "we took it back" or "It's a term of endearment." You can't ask for equality while simultaneously demanding special treatment and that is what using the N word is.

So what makes you say there was a quote. Did you find one in article link I provided or simply used another "let me call my friend BM" line?
Surely you found one. LOL.

Well of course there's that IF again...you're a stranger to me, you might actually believe a Cocker Spaniel is typing on the internet. Thus I said "if".

Wait, you didn't already know that the hunger striking protester specifically said he feels unsafe on campus? Seriously?

The school I did my undergrad (University of Miami) had their own police force, and they had jurisdiction over Miami-Dade Metro, and City Police. They were full blown sheriff deputies. They even had detective units. The same goes for University of South Florida where I did some post-grad studies. Full on police force, with full jurisdiction. Most major Universities have their own police force.

U of Missouri was the largest university in the state, I'm pretty sure they had their own police force as well.

That depends on your understanding of racism. If you think "racism" encompasses absolutely everything that turns on race (like if a casting director only considers black people to portray MLK) then yes it is racist.

However, if you consider "racism" to only encompass issues where race is used to negatively/unfairly impact an entire race of people, then no it is not racist.

I personally do not hold the first viewpoint.

"I felt unsafe since the moment I stepped on this campus," he told CNN. "My first semester here, I had someone write the n-word on my wall. I've been, physically, in altercations with white gentleman on campus."
