lol .... coming from a guy living in a country ( and his allies ) that actually violates Syria`s airspace daily ...

The russians were not bombing in Turkey ( if they ever were in that airspace ) ... So it is open season on any Israeli planes to be shot down over Syria ( they do daily filghts, as well as over Lebanon ) ....

The Kremlin ought to get their stories straight ...

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2015...he-latest.html

You should have stayed away and thrown Assad under the bus.

Question is: was this a rogue pilot that violated Turkish airspace during hostile actions or was the pilot acting under ''direct orders''?

The Islamic Terrorist State (ISIS) forces were not at the Turkish border -- the pilots came down over anti-Syrian Government rebel positions and were shot dead by these rebels -- they had been dropping bombs on these rebels -- so what do you expect?

This isn't a Nintendo game:helpme

Turkey would thank you if you Russians attacked the Kurds ...

Question: If there were hostile governments making overflights of Crimea to attack at 3rd country --- what would you Russians do?

Cry at the UN? :1orglaugh

This whole thing is about advance airbases on foreign soil the USA's in Turkey and the Russian Federation's in Syria. Nobody really gives a shit about the Turkish or the Assad governments -- they are a major pain in the ass.

The Turks are pissed because the USA destroyed 288 oil tankers on the road to Turkey the other day -- they ran out of bombs and bullets and had to return to base to reload. So, the next day Turkey bitch slaps Russia ... This is getting like a 3 Stooges comedy short -- except we are using real missiles, bombs and bullets.

They have changed the story now - Not for the last time in this latest drama I expect...

femdomdestiny 11-24-2015 07:49 AM

That airplane was not threat to Turkey, we all know that. Turkey is helping ISIS for years, as loyal American ally and it is,after Saudi Arabia, most responsible for war in Syria.

This is just a confirmation that they are terrorist supporters. Anyway, Russians must respond brutally, otherwise they will be pussies and will loose their credibility. I guess smartest thing would be to launch rockets and destroy Turkey military and their capability to fly. Turks can't respond, only one who can respond in their name is USA , by bombing Russia. We all know where that ends.

Long term, Ruskies will support Kurds probably and create Kurdistan, Turkey stop to exist and can easily end in terror , and they will loose money from tourists. Not only Russian tourists but also no one normal would go to such problematic country.

Personally, I would nuke that part of Turkey with a pleasure. No one would help them and NATO would fall apart because it is useless.

Yeah, that seems a bit problematic. It would seem to have credibility the entire warning to downing needs to take place in your Air space.

Which exactly "story" are you talking about? The story presented by BBC? Russian news haven't reported that. As I said in my morning post, there was no story that the plane was hit from the ground. They just considered it, because the army bombers fly on the low attitude and they are easy targets for surface-to-air missiles.

No, they did it in the Syrian sky. Nobody can say for sure is it has crossed the Turkish border before of that, but we are surly know it was hit over Syria and fell at Syrian territory too.

As about the possible full-scale war. I'll tell you small secret: Russia can destroy Turkey on 70% or so within about 30 minutes using tactical nukes only. The problem is that Turkey is a NATO ally and we have a lot of Russian tourists there.

P.S. Everybody knows how Georgia has ended up when it attacked the Russian forces in 2008. Even w/o nukes and with lesser ground forces.

Last time a Jordanian pilot was captured by the Islamic Terrorist State you know what happened. Hopefully, he will just be held as a POW and not executed as a war criminal -- that is the way the rebels may see this :2 cents:

Is there, or is there not, a difference between insurgent fighters in a civil war (rebels) and the Islamic Terrorist State (ISIS)? We will see ...

You are an idiot. When an unidentified plane only approaches your borders, it poses a threat and your military craft take off to intercept. When a warplane crosses your country's borders it's a full-on green light to shoot it down.

Russia can't do shit, they really only have 2 cards to play:
- some bs sanctions against Turkey

Idiot is the one who think that plane was unidentified when you have war on your borders and you measure every move. (there were recent meeting with NATO to avoid these scenarios).Someone want to destroy Turkey with one airplane?

They knew very well that it is Russian airplane except Turks didn't give airplanes to ISIS in previous period?

This is retaliation for ruining business for Turkey (buying oil from ISIS for a miserable price).

You don't use your brain and that's not good. Russia can intensify bombing of the Turkmen territory in Syria and it can start a ground operation against those pro-Turkish rebels. Turks will swallow it and believe me - the whole NATO gang will seat quite. They are too cowardly to interfere.

This is not about navigation (Russia has GLONASS, Turkey has nothing). This is about the money that Turks pay to ISIS for their oil. This is a very simple thing to understand.
