It was meant to say Turkey won't get US support as Amsterdam did not have it.

Because the unquoted part of your post has no sense for me. The Kachinski plane was not shot down. It was a victim of the accident. Not me, the Polish investigation said it. As about Turkey and the Netherlands, those are two different stories. The Netherlands is a victim of crazy rebels (that's the version I do believe in) while Turkey is a supporter of terrorists. And yes, the USA are not ready to lose millions of people for some European or Asian country. I do understand them and hope you do understand 'em as well.

P.S. About the Netherlands plane. I'm not Putin and I do not support the Eastern Ukrainian separatists. If they did it, they are totally responsible for that.

"NATO officials have reported a list of violations by Russian military aircraft trespassing in European airspace. According to those statistics, there were six incidents with Estonia, three with Finland, and one each with Denmark and Poland. Against Sweden there were ten in 2014, up from eight in 2013, and seven in 2012. While there were no violations of Latvian airspace, there were over 180 incidents in which the Russian air force flew close to the borders in 2014. The Russian intruders turned off their transponders, electronic devices most aircraft are required to operate to make it easy to track them, in nearly all of the cases."

Russia has long history of airspace violations

This is all the more reason we need to do a Kickstarter to get the Russians some Garmin GPS's. Their shitty Russian technology is going to start a world war while they think they dindo nottins wrong.. I mean the glorious Putin wouldn't have his airforce and Navy routinely violate other country's air space and water ways on purpose...

pimpmaster9000 11-24-2015 04:01 PM

NATO does not want peace. It never did. Shooting down a jet than you KNOW will not attack your territory, that you KNOW is there to fight somebody else, for a violation that is a few seconds long is a clear message. OH and their jet entered Syrian airspace but lets ignore this completely :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

It has nothing to do with "protecting air space" it has nothing to do with right or wrong, it is a clear message, it was not done by Turkey alone, it is probably a NATO move.

go to google maps and see a satellite pic of the area :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh a few dirt roads and a whole load of NOTHING that the place was shot down for "protection" LOL what a tiny brain somebody must have to believe this...

it is a clear stab in the back, a clear message, from the same people who armed ISIS and supported them and facilitated their very existence...

turkey is an idiot for being natos puppet...

I didn't get it. Should Russia start a global nuclear war against NATO? You may think I'm mad but this scenario is very possible right now. Much more possible when during so-called Caribbean crisis. Don't ask me why, just take it as is. Putin is gonna ruin Turkey because otherwise he will lose all the credibility in Russia. On the other hand he knows that Turkey is a NATO member. So just let's wait for his decision.

When I said about "serious consequences", I meant the economical ones as well the hunting on Turkish aviation (nothing serious). This what I (as an LT of Russian army) would do if I'd been a president of Russia. Unfortunately I'm not. Putin is the president and I can't predict his actions - they are over of my mind, because he is a real crazy person.

there is one minor problem with messing with Turkey economically... Turkish economy is growing fine, while Russian economy is in a recession... so if you fuck with Turkey, you will just shoot yourself in the foot, and it will be twice as painful on your end... but good luck... :thumbsup

You are just another ignorant Russian peon.

This can really have grave consequences.

The turks have made a really stupid move today, what the fuck were they thinking?!

Same users who's usually picking on cyberseo is doing exactly the same now, cyber got inside your heads and you don't see straight.

Get one thing, russia is there to clean out isis and syrian rebels, if turks wanted to they could easily act accordingly to that. The russian bomber was not on a mission to bomb any turkish installations or other places within turkey.

And then in all that Obama have the nerves to say "Turkey has the right to defend its airspace". What a mess of massive proportions.

The world has never been more stable than it is now :thumbsup

What a total mess and look at you all thinking you know exactly what's happening, I guarantee you in Washington and Moscow they don't know exactly what's happening - everybody overestimates the capabilities of politicians and bureaucrats. This is a scary situation, like pre WWI and WWII when everybody could see the dangers but nobody took any steps to do anything and before you knew it the world was engulfed in all out war.

The US should bail out completely, the peoples' revolt in Syria was doomed to fail, the common folk of Syria wanted it to end, it's why they're risking their lives and their childrens to get out. Let Russia get its ass handed to it, they won't win there any more than they won in Afghanistan or we won anything in Iraq.

I hope CyberSEO is wrong about Putin, one thing I guarantee you is that the US would and will never pre-emptively launch a nuke on any country without fair warning. Japan was warned, they refused to surrender under anything but their own terms. They allowed their own people to be burned alive and die of radiation.

GregE 11-24-2015 11:48 PM

Putin will likely send his bombers back to the same area... only this time they'll be accompanied by a large fighter escort.

If he doesn't do some such, he'll be perceived as weak and that would be deadly for him politically.

This shit could spiral out of control real quick :(

EliteWebmaster 11-25-2015 12:09 AM

The US probably Ok'd the hit. Turkey and US has strong ties. This probably brought a smile to the US state dept. It was basically a US sanctioned downing of the jet. Lets not kid ourselves about it. Turkey got the "Ok" from big brother to take down the Russian jet. Sometimes you just have to read between the lines.

How stopping tourism in Turkey may hurt Russian economics? BTW it has already begun. And as about hunting on Turkish aviation: S-300 systems will be sent to Syria. So the situation develops exactly the same way as I have predicted.

BTW Turkey wanted to work as a southern hub and re-sell Russian natural gas to the EU. I think now their dream won't come true and they will lose billions of dollars.

Just one note about Afghanistan. I don't understand why do you guys think the goal was not achieved. The only reason of Soviet military campaign in Afghanistan was killing of Amin. His palace was stormed by Soviet Spetsnaz with support of GRU and VDV (in total 661 soldiers were involved) on 27th December of 1979. All the 2200 guards who protected Amin were defeated and Amin was killed. Soviet forces have lost 52 men, so the goal was achieved: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Storm-333

Why Soviet has decided to stay in Afghanistan after that is still over of my mind. There was no real reason to do so. They army was pulled out by the Gorbachev's good will in 1989 and it was not a retreat. It was something like a solemn parade:

The result of that war: 15 thousands of Soviet soldiers and about 1 million of mujaheddins were killed.
