a big touring bike yes, but not a harley for sure

Protective gear is full leathers or a slide suit with a full face helmet, but of course wearing that doesn't look cool am I right?

Keep pretending though..

DOT approved half helmet

that's a fantastic motorcycle, no question. that doesn't mean a harley touring bike isn't also fantastic.

it all depends on how you want to go.

these days i prefer to travel cross-country in comfort:

Very nice piece of engineering!

Now back to the initial topic:
I used to ride a bike in France (a Japanese one). We had a lot of fun riding it with my wife and believe me, it's the only practical way to drive around Paris (you can ride between lanes there).
Then we had kids and I kept riding to the office and back but my wife would no longer ride with me.
Finally, I moved to Canada and the fuckin SAAQ (Quebec driving licences and vehicle registrations) doesn't recognize foreign bike driving licences, you can't ride between lanes and you are fucked 50% of the year so I gave up on it.

why are you so fixated on homosexuals? I wear a half helmet because I feel safer having peripherals, as I'm used to having them from years of cycling. I don't wear vests because I don't think they protect ME enough, other riders feel different but I never thought to call them gay because of it. I don't wear all that other shit because I don't believe I MYSELF need to.

You are pretty judgemental for a hippy driving a volkswagon aren't you?

Stop to think about every Congressional scandal involving a Congressman and a gay guy. The Congressman has always been the most vocal anti-gay voice out there.

Now, think about cockett. He is really gay, but because he is so fucking stupid I don't call him out on it because I don't want people to associate his stupidity with the GLBT movement.

I guess the longest trip I made was from Phoenix down to San Diego, picked up a passenger, and down into Mexico for a weekend.

I made trips from Phoenix to Vegas or LA on a regular basis....

In other words, you don't know anything about cross country riding. You have no clue about what Harley's do on the open road.

If I rode a bike, I sure as hell wouldn't ride than dirt bike one that looks so girly. I would rather cruise riding a chopper. Something like this below. Nothing says badass than a custom chopper.

German engineering = best in the world.
So unless you buy H-D as some kind of patriotic act to support Murrica, you're a pretentious fag.

I think at a certain age you realize there's more to life and that now it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. They can afford to buy a nice bike and enjoy the freedom of riding!

Obvious you have never ridden a motorcycle. Riding position and comfort vary drastically between a Harly and a European touring bike. I personally couldn't go 10 miles in the forward riding style of most European bikes.

Yep; it all goes back to horse riding styles of Europe/Asia vs the US.

Vendzilla 12-29-2015 04:10 PM

I missed this thread, been kinda busy with the new project.
As for the trade help the government gave to Harley, here's a cool video

Why ride a Harley? Because they can be 20 years old and still be cool. I ride because it's like therapy. I ride mine almost every day now.

I sold one of those a couple years ago, 75 VW pick up that got 45 to 50 mph. Cool little truck, just didn't need it.

I was referring more to the false advertising and computer trickery they resorted to that back up their false mpg claims.

German engineering being better than is a myth.

My dad swears by Mercedes, I would rather have a F150 4x4 than that.

New upgrades on my road king are killing it. Next month getting it dyno tuned
