I still prefer living in CZ about 1000 times over living in Russia.

And you can put those stats where the sun doesn't shine, just look at reality with open eyes.

But CZ does lead in beer consumption - and rightfully so - we have tons of great beers and I did my part to keep top position.

And now enjoy bickering on GFY while I spend a romantic weekend in Bratislava. :)

Why not? Of course you prefer Czech Republic. Especially if you have never been to Russia and it's extremely hard to get a visa to work and live in Russia. So if I'd be you, I would also prefer Prague over Berlin of course. Personally I hate a lot of things here such as corruption and Putin (actually whose two words mean the same), however I would not "trade" Moscow to any other city in the World. I've been to many and wasn't able to stand more than a couple of weeks there, because I always wanted to get back home. For example I love an ocean and tropical beaches. However, if I stay there more than a week, I'm always getting bored. Moscow is a fantastic city where it's just impossible to be bored. A friend of mine who lives 1500km away from here, have told me the following: "the people in Moscow walk as fast as I run" :)

P.S. I don't know a single Russian oligarch who has moved to Czech Republic. Most of them prefer London. Because life in London is very similar to life in Moscow, but London is not controlled by Putin and his mafia. Those people just seek for a similar life but outside of the Russian jurisdiction (in case if they have some conflicts with the local "elite").

Idi Amin Dada Returns from the Dead to Support Candidate Trump

(FFN) Idi Amin Dada, His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, CBE, Lord of all the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea, and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular; also known as: the 'Butcher of Uganda', has returned from the grave adding his endorsement to Donald Trump's candidacy.

"Sometimes people mistake the way I talk for what I am thinking." Idi Amin Dada

Mr Amin said "I strongly believe in, and practised under my tenure, a policy of taking out the enemies of my Ugandan nation -- that includes taking out the families of my enemies. I made Uganda a great place and a respected place. You can rest assured that Donald Trump will do the same for the United States of America. And I am a proud Muslim too ... butchery knows no religion ..."

(a lot of it has to do with the fact that Putin controls the media, and other factors, but still the difference is night and day)

the 90% number is made up. even cyberseo who loves russia with all his heart doesn't like putin.

Its not hard to get a work visa in Russia. Like anything else there it's about paying the right amount of bribe money. See here in the developed world you just need to follow the right steps for a visa and you'll get one.

Moscow is great if you want awful techno, ludicrous sushi fusion restaurants, and gold diggers everywhere. Moscow has two good things going for it. One is the historical architecture and the other is the metro, which is again mostly for the architecture.

When it comes to modern culture (theater, music, comedy, etc.) give me NYC any day of the week.

No, don't be an idiot. You can't get a visa for a bribe, simple because it's a multi-step procedure and there is no some single person who is responsible for the whole process. Russia is famous for corruption, but you have no single idea on how it really works.

Developed world my ass :1orglaugh As I mentioned above, it's much easier to get a visa to EU (just pay to a travel agency and give them your passport, which will be returned to you with the EU visa), but you will go through real hell to get a Russian one (even if it's just a simple tourist visa). You said you can make it for a bribe? Ok go to a Russian consul in Prague and tell him: "ok man, here is a 1000 Euro bundle. It's yours, just make me a Russian visa". Go and try it and then come back with your report :winkwink:

It's about taste. Many foreign would prefer Russian Большой Театр for ballet or opera. Comedy is also very specific thing. For example, I do not understand the American humor. It's too primitive for my mind. Russian humor is very close to French and British ones. As about music, so you will see all the same US and EU musicians doing their tours here. Metallica, Iron Maiden, Madonna, Sting... I don't know who you are listing for. They all performing here. Also Moscow is the best place on the World for a nightlife.

a. skiing accident
b. heart attack
c. murdered by unidentified gunmen right in front of the Kremlin

If there is some sort of censure in the USA which does not allow to show a face of that "unidentified" gunmen who has killed Nemtsow, I'll post his pictures here:

just because Putin controlled media says these are the gunmen doesn't make it a fact... it would have been incredibly easy to put on a show for the sheep... just get 3 guys that already work for the secret service, pretend you are arresting them, leak some fake passports to the media, etc...

maybe they did it, who knows, but I would take anything that Russian media puts out with a grain of salt...

Not only them. The independent press says the same. Also relatives and a lawyer of Nemtsov support this version. There is a shitload of cameras near Kremlin and they have a footage of assassination from different POV's. Also there are fingerprints of Dadaev in that car, there are records of their phone calls and there are their traces from mobile billings. Don't be that naive. It's not a big deal to identify and arrest them. As I said already, Putin was mad because this murder will not give him any profit, only troubles.

They did it for sure. The real problem for Putin is that they seem to be working for Geremeev - a man of Kadyrov. Putin surely want to punish him, but he is afraid to be involved into a direct conflict with Karyrov. That's why Geremeev was able to avoid arrest and questioning.

There is no such a thing like "Russian media" in general. There is media controlled by Putin and media which is not controlled by him. This is a very resonance murder which is very harmful for Putin. That's why we was so mad. Nemtsov has almost a zero support in Russia and he was absolutely harmless for Putin. After his dead, his rating has changed, because he has turned into a martyr of Putin's regime. He is like a saint now (you should know Russian mentality to understand it). If Nemtsov decided to make a public meeting when he was alive, he wouldn't gather 1% of those:

http://inosmi.ru/images/22657/46/226574608.jpg

That's the last thing that Putin wanted to happen. And his real problem is that he can't control Kadyrov anymore. The situation here is far not that easy as your silly so-called Western media tries to show it. Those idiots know shit about Russia - believe me.
