Why not? Of course you prefer Czech Republic. Especially if you have never been to Russia and it's extremely hard to get a visa to work and live in Russia. So if I'd be you, I would also prefer Prague over Berlin of course. Personally I hate a lot of things here such as corruption and Putin (actually whose two words mean the same), however I would not "trade" Moscow to any other city in the World. I've been to many and wasn't able to stand more than a couple of weeks there, because I always wanted to get back home. For example I love an ocean and tropical beaches. However, if I stay there more than a week, I'm always getting bored. Moscow is a fantastic city where it's just impossible to be bored. A friend of mine who lives 1500km away from here, have told me the following: "the people in Moscow walk as fast as I run" :)

P.S. I don't know a single Russian oligarch who has moved to Czech Republic. Most of them prefer London. Because life in London is very similar to life in Moscow, but London is not controlled by Putin and his mafia. Those people just seek for a similar life but outside of the Russian jurisdiction (in case if they have some conflicts with the local "elite").

Its not hard to get a work visa in Russia. Like anything else there it's about paying the right amount of bribe money. See here in the developed world you just need to follow the right steps for a visa and you'll get one.

Moscow is great if you want awful techno, ludicrous sushi fusion restaurants, and gold diggers everywhere. Moscow has two good things going for it. One is the historical architecture and the other is the metro, which is again mostly for the architecture.

When it comes to modern culture (theater, music, comedy, etc.) give me NYC any day of the week.

No, don't be an idiot. You can't get a visa for a bribe, simple because it's a multi-step procedure and there is no some single person who is responsible for the whole process. Russia is famous for corruption, but you have no single idea on how it really works.

Developed world my ass :1orglaugh As I mentioned above, it's much easier to get a visa to EU (just pay to a travel agency and give them your passport, which will be returned to you with the EU visa), but you will go through real hell to get a Russian one (even if it's just a simple tourist visa). You said you can make it for a bribe? Ok go to a Russian consul in Prague and tell him: "ok man, here is a 1000 Euro bundle. It's yours, just make me a Russian visa". Go and try it and then come back with your report :winkwink:

It's about taste. Many foreign would prefer Russian Большой Театр for ballet or opera. Comedy is also very specific thing. For example, I do not understand the American humor. It's too primitive for my mind. Russian humor is very close to French and British ones. As about music, so you will see all the same US and EU musicians doing their tours here. Not only them. The independent press says the same. Also relatives and a lawyer of Nemtsov support this version. There is a shitload of cameras near Kremlin and they have a footage of assassination from different POV's. Also there are fingerprints of Dadaev in that car, there are records of their phone calls and there are their traces from mobile billings. Don't be that naive. It's not a big deal to identify and arrest them. As I said already, Putin was mad because this murder will not give him any profit, only troubles.

They did it for sure. The real problem for Putin is that they seem to be working for Geremeev - a man of Kadyrov. Putin surely want to punish him, but he is afraid to be involved into a direct conflict with Karyrov. That's why Geremeev was able to avoid arrest and questioning.

There is no such a thing like "Russian media" in general. There is media controlled by Putin and media which is not controlled by him. This is a very resonance murder which is very harmful for Putin. That's why we was so mad. Nemtsov has almost a zero support in Russia and he was absolutely harmless for Putin. After his dead, his rating has changed, because he has turned into a martyr of Putin's regime. He is like a saint now (you should know Russian mentality to understand it). If Nemtsov decided to make a public meeting when he was alive, he wouldn't gather 1% of those:
