i'll order some bone in hot wings next time but i don't recall them being so much better than boneless to make up for the messy inconvenience of gnawing the meat off the bone.

besides, hot wings are all about the recipe and the sauce. i don't like to be distracted from the game, i want to dip my hot wing and mindlessly gnosh while zoning out on NFL.

Well that is understandable. Not all people like wings more than breasts or nuggets. So if you like breasts with egg and flour the same as wings - surely it makes sense to take that less messy option.

:thumbsup nice find.

i remember having a convo with my mom back when the price of chicken wings went through the roof, prior to hotwings, you couldn't give wings away, now they're a premium.

i don't think the boneless are prepared any differently than the bone-in ones. both use the same recipe.

Do you even fucking hot wings?

Boneless wings are nothing more than chicken tenders cut down in size. It's breast meat and not wing meat.

If you're eating boneless, you're the one doing hot wings all wrong :winkwink:

It is not about recipe, it is about it being a DIFFERENT PART OF THE CHICKEN. As in one being NOT wing. Is that so difficult to grasp? :1orglaugh

gofuckyourself dumbfuck. i'm enjoying a carefree chat about food and you're trying to insult my intelligence over fucking chicken wings.

i already stated it is about the recipe and that i don't recall tasting that big of a difference to offset the pain in the ass mess.

fuckwad.

from an expert on chicken wings

"In further analyzing the chicken wing category, we see that about 80 percent of the incremental growth in chicken wings was due to strength seen among boneless chicken wings, which accounted for about 14 percent of chicken wing sales in 2012. Given the average price of boneless chicken wings is $7.99 versus $6.87 for regular chicken wings, this shift in consumer preferences should prove to be a further positive for restaurants selling chicken wings.â?

50 boneless chicken wings.

See sig!

It's not the same. A wing is a wing is a wing...it's an actual park of a chicken. It can't be substituted with thigh meat and still called a wing.

I agree with you. Only wings are wings. I was just pointing to an alternative to wings that could be done in a style that mimics wings. Slightly dark meat, skin on, that would offer a substitute to what we consume when we order chicken wings. I know a few people that really don't like meat on the bone (it offers more flavour when the bone is on/in) The thigh boneless wings I've had, actually taste like a boneless wing, the breast ones, lack that crispy skin which I consider to be the hallmark of a well prepared wing. Im not big on breaded wings.

You guys should be in the Guinness book of world records for the best forum threads, and at the same time, the topics are just WTF, which is great :1orglaugh

You can damn sure make someone laugh talking about anything. :2 cents::thumbsup

And I already understood that you may like chicken tender the same or better than wings. So your reply (about the recipe being the same) to my understanding was redundant.
Since you did that I assumed you are starting over (after I understood and agreed).
So not sure which one of us was a dubmfuck during that argument.

either way, you can keep the convo a fun spirited debate without making it personal.

Having the bones in stops you from eating a hundred in one sitting. Having bones makes you work for the sweet, precious chicken meat.

RebelR 01-04-2016 11:47 AM

On a side note about Wings. Remember when they used to be the throw away part of the bird and restaurants either gave them out free, or charged $0.10/ wing? Now I can buy chicken breasts cheaper than I can wings.

Oh, it's a serious question...
Well, I've never been thinking about it.
I know that I also order hot wings with the bones in... I guess I have to grab something while eating, that's why they leave it there, and also I am not really sure that it's possible to order without the bones.
Still, it would be better, I definitely agree with you! :upsidedow
But, I can take the bones and feed my dog for free. 2in1 :1orglaugh

Don't feed cooked chicken bones to dogs, they splitter and can cause choking.

:2 cents:

I noticed that most of the posts about food get a lot of replies.

Those were the days! I loved wings before they became a "thing", would grill a shitload every weekend and used to get more than I could eat for around $4.00. Now it costs $12.00 for a snack.

I thought you followed a mad strict healthy diet.

windycityxx 01-04-2016 04:15 PM

Boneless wings are boring and have no flavor..

The only people who eat boneless wings are chicks.. real men eat them with the bone.

Period.

For real!!! I remember nickel beer and quarter wing nights at some watering holes in Miami back during my college days. :thumbsup

I most certainly do not. The only thing I deny myself 100% is candy and soda pop.

I don't diet. dieting, especially strict diets as you call them, are doomed to failure.

Moreover, I've never even claimed I follow a mad strict diet.

I can honestly say I have never had boneless wings but if I did I would prefer them. Bones are nasty! The whole enterprise is so filthy I stay away from wings in general. I LOVE the BBQ kind but man your fingers get all congealed sticky BBQ goo on them.

Where can I get boneless wings to try them out? KFC?

Head over to a buffalo wings restaurant or wingstop for the best with high quality ingredients.

I do boneless either cause I just wanna shovel da bitches down quicker or cause I'm lazy. :2 cents:
