That's a part of a standard course. I'm not talking about regular draftees. Those are a cannon fodder and they are not supposed to think. But if you have any officer rank, you should know that a nuke can not be used this way, because a navy nuclear blast will kill a few tons of fish and maybe a few fishermen ships in the bast case. It can be used against enemy carrier battle groups and especially their subs, but it won't hurt the continental area. Ok, maybe a wave of tsunami will destroy a first line of buildings on the coast, but no more than that. To be used effective, a nuke must be blasted in the atmosphere above center of the target. Only in this case all four destructive factors will be used: a shock wave, a thermal injury, a penetrating radiation and EMR. There are special tables which show the dependence of all those factors in accordance with the blast's power and its height.

P.S. Actually you should partially learn these things even in your school during the life safety and NVP courses. Here is a picture from a Russian school book to refresh your memory ;)

if make a big bomb, insert it into the submarine, fit it to the shore and explode - big wave washed away a thin strip of the industry that are mostly located on the coast. and there will be no radiation - a place will be available for life.

can also initiate a nuclear charge eruption of an underwater volcano = big tsunamy etc...

No. It won't work like this. Here is how an underwater nuclear blast looks in the real life:

It's can make a wave of 13 meters which is enough to sink a small ship, but nothing else.

Another one:

Man I have posted a picture from the old good NVP book. Did you learn it when you were a schoolboy? Do you really think this shit may somehow hurt someone on the shore? How old are you?

P.S. If you didn't know, Russian anti-ship tactical nukes have to be delivered by cruise missiles (e.g. "Базальт", "Гранит", "Вулкан") and they always detonate above the target battle group. That's the only way to efficiently destroy the enemy.

NATO is a maritime country, and with the explosion in the Atlantic all the cities and the country will wash away.

I think they had an earthquake and saw it as an opportunity. Experts have already stated the tremors were not big enough to be caused by a hydrogen bomb.

Once again: how old are you? Educate yourself.

To make a tsunami like the one that did hit Japan in 2011, North Koreans (or whoever) will need to blow up a couple thousands of nukes near the US coast at a same time. This is possible in theory, but absolutely impossible in the real life (guess why?) Also even that super-uber-mega tsunami in Japan has killed "only" 15 thousands. I say "only", because it's really nothing that can be done by a couple thousands of nukes used in a proper way (RTFM). So please don't post your childish bullshit about nuclear kamikaze sub. It's so lame.

and who knows what happened in Japan? if now in North Korea only recorded earthquake. In Japan, too tsunami was triggered by an earthquake and the Fukushima radiation disguised. but whoever confesses in this?
hydrogen bomb - It has a capacity of 100 megatons. We experienced only version 50 megatons.
thousands bomb have capacity of 100 000 megatons.
riddle: when the explosion of the tsar bomb - the earthquake was 5,0 (on ground) - what will be an earthquake in the explosion of Mt 100,000.

in North Korea will be detected earthquake global seismic sensors, earthquake-magnitude 5,0.
using seismographic records and a place of epicenter(where before that be tested nuclear bomb) the theory about that was put forward that North Korea tested a hydrogen bomb.
that is, the world did not realize that it was a hydrogen explosion.
but for some reason it is furiously denied as the tsunami in Japan could be a consequence of similar explosion.
and you CyberSEO in general speak about that that it isn't possible and nuclear explosion won't create a tsunami.

2 hydrogen bomb power

Krakatoa, or Krakatau (Indonesian: Krakatau), is a volcanic island situated in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra in the Indonesian province of Lampung. The name is also used for the surrounding island group comprising the remnants of a much larger island of three volcanic peaks which was obliterated in a cataclysmic 1883 eruption, unleashing huge tsunamis (killing more than 36,000 people) and destroying over two-thirds of the island. The explosion is considered to be the loudest sound ever heard in modern history, with reports of it being heard up to 3,000 miles (4,800 km) from its point of origin. The shock waves from the explosion were recorded on barographs worldwide.

what problem? 1 hydrogen bomb = 100 megatons. you write "thousands of nukes used in a proper way".
1000 hydrogen bomb = 100 000 megatons. proper way = radioactive contamination. Tsunami did not pollute the environment, well, or not so much so do it. And again, idiots like you after the tsunami will believe that it was a natural phenomenon. :1orglaugh
Here is an example of radiation contamination after the tsunami in Japan

you have a very narrow outlook, you have a very standard way of thinking, you have more self-esteem which is absolutely not justified. there are people who are engaged in research and writing of textbooks - Yes, such people often make mistakes and are not always right, but they have a higher level. than those who read books and then proves the common truths - in 90 cases like the captain obvious. therefore it isn't necessary to be such shit. the clever reads books for understanding, stupid for a show off then this knowledge. and when knowledge is limited to the standard program, and you continue by it to show off it ridiculously. and if you add to this an empty mindless spam their signature with a bunch of garbage. - it causes irritation

I would be more concerned about North Korea's asymmetrical warfare policies as a real threat. North Korea is an 'case model' success story for the Islamic Terrorist State.

Fuck Switzerland for harboring and educating this sick fuck. Of course the Swiss are well known for buddying up with well known warlords, criminals, and Nazis and then playing the neutral card when caught. Can the EU just boycott them already. Swiss chocolate and cheese is bulkshit anyways :D

The point is, he did not have nukes when Bill C was president. He acquired then while George W B was president. He threatened to bomb Washington DC. He is a madman. His human rights abuses are the worst on the planet. Children are starved, families incarcerated for generations. Every kind of torture is practiced. He supports warlords and despotic regimes.

All of the justifications for going to war with others, like Libya, Syria, Iraq, etc, he exceeds.

They have a more sophisticated nuclear missile program than IRAN, yet we are told by both parties that Iran is a huge priority. The safest, most well stocked unsanctioned nuclear lab in the world is in North Korea.

They may be "years away" from XYZ, but they are closer than they were.

Hint: because it's an Israeli headache while NK is not their problem :) Course NK which is ruled by that crazy family of sadists is a much more serious threat to the world than Iran, but the US politicians always follow the orders of their real bosses. If they were told that Iran is their main priority so let it be...
