And President Bill Clinton? The Republicans gushed over him and adored him. All that stuff with Ken Starr throwing his friends and business associates in prison and Congress forcing him to testify over adultery and impeaching him and having him disbarred as an attorney were just one big mistake.

And Reagan? OMG! It was a love fest! Yeah, Congress went after him on Iran/Contra and threw a bunch of his staff in prison. And yeah, the Democrat-loving press corp were merciless with the name calling and character assassinations on him...but that was all just in fun.

Now Republican candidates are portraying Ronald Reagan as the symbol of strength who "got our hostages released the day he took office" -- when in reality it was the last thing Carter did on his last day in office and was in the works for months before Reagan was around.

The crazy part is...As citizens, we all want the economy to kick ass. We all want everyone to be happy and have opportunity. None of us want war or our country spying and dropping bombs, etc.

I just feel that the 2 ruling parties have gotten the populace so biased against each other that we tend to just give "our" party a free pass on everything and blame the "other" party.

Eventually you start to realize that they are both fucking us over. They've both been in power forever. And they both are responsible for what is happening.

Their greatest trick the 2 ruling parties pulled was turning this into a team sport and causing people to argue amongst themselves instead of throwing them ALL out.

Vendzilla isn't a bad person. crockett isn't a bad person. bronco67 isn't a bad person. None of them want bad things to happen to the country.

In my mind...the greatest fear in Washington D.C. is that one day Vendzilla and crockett will come together and see who the real enemy is. When that happens all over the country...the party and the gravy train will come to an end in D.C.
