You should write your own text descriptions or at least rewrite them. Adding the text provided by the sponsor will gain you nothing but duplicate content ?penalties? with Google, lowering your impact and reducing your sales.

Hit me up if you have any interest in promoting NaughtyAllie. (jake at naughtyallie dot com)

I can answer on behalf of the majority of BongaCash affiliates. Our partners prefer dynamic banners. They adapt for user's IP, language, perfectly fit the design of any website and make good $$$. :thumbsup
You should try them, if you haven't: https://bongacash.com/promo/dynamic-banner

I think the problem with most sponsors is they just write bylines like "Hot chick - click for more". Nobody is asking sponsors to write text descriptions for reuse - though some affiliates will pick them up for being too lazy.

What would help affiliates and programs a lot would be information about the content like names of performers, the setup of the scene, skills of shooters, equipment in use, etc.. Information, information, information and background information will help to write text descriptions and draw more traffic. Without any valuable info affiliates have nothing in their hand to start with.

It's a manual approval process as we like to screen potential affiliates before approving them. As long as there's no red flags then yes we approve new affiliates. You can apply here.

Sponsors to put more effort into converting abandon carts / upsells / email collection.

Many do put effort into that, but affiliates mostly won't get credited for such sales. :(

What about Hosted FLV's? Video banners? RSS feeds?

What tools help you make more money?

What tools have you ever thought would be great to have?

Please share your thoughts.

I find that FHG's are the best converting to sales but at the same time they are the least user friendly.

I recently redesigned one of my websites to be completely mobile friendly, responsive and has a video player that works with all devices - I switched it from FHG's to this new style so everyone would be able to view the trailers etc. Since doing that I've gone from 5-6 membership sales a month to 0 sales.

I think the reason the sales are 0 compared to what they were before are because the user isn't sent to the website and linked or "cookied" or whatever to my affiliate account (Like with FHG's). Instead they have to actually click on a banner to go to the site, but I feel that they just type in the website and go directly and there is no linking it to my account to give affiliate referral credit. Loading an FHG automatically links your affiliate account to the user, clicking on the banner does too, but going directly to the website does not.

The problem with FHG's is they are usually non-responsive and not mobile / tablet friendly but they should be. So much traffic is mobile and tablet now. If programs have a standard FHG template that they just put new content into, it should be extremely easy to make it fully responsive with some CSS.

(Affiliate Friendly Hosted Banners Idea)
I would love it if hosted banners would use iframe, with affiliate code in url (Like FHG's Do) to a page with just the banner. This instead of just hosting the banner.
This would work for people who have video players with hosted banners under / over them. When the user lands on that video page it would link to their affiliate code because the iframe would load the url with the affiliate code, and that url would just display the banner. I'm not sure if I'm describing this very well, but it would be very useful especially to people who use video players with banners.
Also the hosted url / banner could be made responsive on the programs side so there is never an issue for the affiliate or the users viewing the content.

Are you sure that would make sense? Don't ad blockers disable hosted iframes?

You're right they do I think, but at least affiliates would be able to get some of the traffic linked to their referrral code. Also, you could also just re-direct ad-block users to the site you want to advertise or even block them completely. If that's the case you could also have everything load through iframe so the user couldn't even use your website if they didn't disable their ad-block.

I have figured a way around ad-blocking software for banners though, but unfortunately people just don't click on them.

To get around ad-blocking software and have banners still show up I've done this and found it works. I download the banner and then copy and paste it into a new image. Then I resize the banner slightly to irregular sizes, like instead of 728 x 90 or whatever it is I set it to 732 x 91 or something like that. After doing that I also resave the banner with a new name that is not specific to anything, and host the banners myself on my sites rather than just using a default hosted banner, which gets blocked.

I am not sure if one of these things, or all of these things combined are what does it, but this gets your banner through the ad blockers (at least when I've tested it).

Problem is.. people don't click the banners. They see the website name and url in the video watermarks and just type in the address themselves.

I wish affiliate ad tools were better because I want to sell memberships to websites and help keep the industry going, not have "free videos" to watch and sell ad space to 3rd parties like many of the big tube sites do.

Excellent thread!

Which banner sizes are most common / most popular by affiliates?

Which sizes are a must when you are creating promo tools for your affiliate program?

Copy & Concur! And to get paid you need to send traffic that converts, to convert you use a bunch of promo tools, the better tools the more you convert to sales. Thus getting paid more.

I assume any affiliate program worth its salt is paying their affiliates.

Now, on to my question about banner size?

PornDiscounts-V 09-03-2018 04:28 PM

Html5 hosted videos. Mp4. I've got my own player.

Cams programs: hosted iframe chat windows. API with online models including room subject and tags. Tags, tags, tags. In the least, the models should use #tags in their room subject.

Chaturbate: make it a crime for a girl to copy and paste your example hash tags as their room subject. Nobody is Asian and black, teen and milf, big Boob's and petite. All at the same time. 1/4 of your models do this.

Imlive - don't include stuff in your feed that we don't use. Do include your iframe solution.

All programs - custom banners, etc.

PimpMastah 09-05-2018 01:30 PM

BUMP for feedback regarding my question in quotes :)
