I love how TV writers think people are able to shoot someone in a strategic location so they'll be able to live. Getting shot is a big deal, especially in that world....I think you'd be done after getting a paper cut on the wrong day.

the best TV depiction of being shot and recovering would probably be Hank on Breaking Bad. He got shot multiple times, was close to death and spent months -- or maybe a year recovering. And he still was fucked up afterward and had to walk with a cane.

I love Strike Back, but I remember seeing one of the heroes get shot in the kneecap with an AK47 round, and he was back in action next week. That was funny to me because a 7.62 mm round to the kneecap is a career ender.

I'd be interested in the ratings at the end of season 6 - not from the beginning - since as Kane pointed out for example the mid season finale had record ratings

and as other articles pointed out: even if the ratings slightly drop they are still far ahead of any other cable show

I can't find the article now, but I saw the finale for season 6 drew about 11 million viewers where the season 5 finale had closer to 15 million. So it looks like they are losing viewers, but it is still the biggest show on cable, and one of the biggest (if not these biggest) non-sports show on TV.

Season 6 finale "pulled in 14.2 million viewers, as opposed to last year?s season 5 closing episode, Conquer, that attracted an audience of 15.98 million." It supposedly still has a huge lead in the 18-49 demo.

I enjoyed the fuck out of this season and was massively let down when we didn't see the beat down.

There was NO need for a cliffhanger and they could've had a huge episode that was talked about for months, much like Opie from SOA, but they pulled this bullshit?

When we only see Negan for a few minutes, that right there is the only cliffhanger we need for next season. We're ALL going to watch Rick's Team VS Negan no matter what.

They had an epic fail with this episode and missed a chance to do something huge.

So going back and watching it from the beginning - and I do NOT like Fear The Waking Dead for some reason - I think TWD is getting better. Maybe watching them one after the other, and living through them gives me a different perspective?

Ratings: was last season's show a 1 1/2 hour episode? If not that changes things. Also, was last year's season finale on at the same time as baseball Opening Night (Mets vs. Royals in a World Series rematch)? All factors.

There's not going to be all out war next season. Alexandria will be going about their business and Rick will have a relationship with Negan as a subordinate. They'll be plotting how to overthrow him while giving him half their shit.

Its all about proportion. Glens head is way too large in proportion to Negan, so it is not Glen. Comparing those two pictures, Negan is just far enough back to be aligned in the position of Abraham.

Writers, producers and directors like to add metaphors to shows, and there is a scene in that last episode where Abraham is driving the RV, and seems very happy and content asking Sasha what she thought about the possibility of them having a baby. The sun is setting in the background behind Abraham. Shining through the trees and casting a glow onto him. This, in my opinion, is the "end of the road" for him.

Yes, the show has planted some seeds to try and throw you off.... Bad guy telling Rick that it might be his last day, Eugene handing over the plans for making bullets, but Its Abraham that is going to get it.

This is my theory. I will even put money on it.

Typically on the show when things start going well for a character that is a sign that bad things are to come for them. To further support your theory, Abraham was a pretty big part of the second half of this season. Once they start focusing on a lesser character that character often meets their untimely demise.

No, because when I think about the popularity of the character and the audience he draws which is as devoted a fan base as Norman Reedus enjoys then I think he might be kept... on the other hand...

He probably killed Aaron, because nobody made a sound while Negan was bashing his head in. Nobody really liked Aaron anyway and he's a 3rd tier character at best. Nobody will miss him much.

It's my favorite show but that isnt saying much since it's the only thing I watch on TV all week, and I wait till it hits Amazon to watch it. I dont really care who got killed and I wont worry about it until next season. I cant sit and waste my time watching TV everyday.

Going out on a limb here. Rick's group will give in. They will return to the town and agree to work. Then with the stash of arms, they hid a few episodes back. On delivering the food they will kill the saviours.

You guys keep analyzing that on set video, but I believe that was shot without the other cast members lined up on their knees. It was most likely a separate set up to get the camera angle and positioning correct, which would take some time. I highly doubt they had the other actors sitting there on their knees while they shot this, because there's no need for them to be there.

Maybe you can call it a theory. But in the world of TV and film that's how shots like that are generally done. It's a whole new set up with lighting and camera changes. The people not in view don't need to be there, and they most likely weren't.

If you go from the perspective of Negan, the 2 guys he would likely want out of the way are Daryl and or Abram ad they both would be the least likely to conform.

Negan wants providers and is in a extortion biz. He let's them keep doing their thing but they have to earn.. He's a pimp and wants earners.

He wants Rick alive because Rick keeps the group together and he would assume Rick will submit to keep his group alive.

The problem is we know Abraham but Began doesn't. Began just see'd a big dude but likely wouldn't single him out for death as his threat is unknown.

Meanwhile, there is already experience with Daryl and they will know that he is not likely to conform. Added ti this the blonde dude already wanted to kill him. It makes much more sense from Negan's perspective to kill Daryl as he is a likely problem to their goal of creating a new group of earners.

Is crazy to be the cast and Negan hits someone and the head still without move... so I think is Glenn fake head... People think that producers till now, didn't go with comic deaths... but I think is time for AMC to go with comic... who knows...

I get that. It wasn't lost on me. Regardless of that clip, I still think it's Abraham. The comic books suggests it's Glenn, but they haven't always stayed entirely true to those either.

I think it wasn't Abraham for this reasonreason... When Negan looked at him, Abraham popped out his chest proudly as if to say "go ahead and kill me". Too easy.

And Abraham isn't a "beloved" character. Not much impact.
