It's so easy to build your own rig at a much cheaper price with the best you can buy in parts. I have built plenty of kickass work and gaming rigs over the years for less then half the price of an Apple computer.

Windows on my work/gaming rig and I use Debian on my servers.

If you like building PC's, then PC's are for you. One of my first jobs was building PC's, and I had a business for about 10 years building PC's after that. 10 years, buying parts, building PC's, selling them, building more... and more... and more...

No more.

If I was going to build another PC today, it would be for some kind of wall-mounted piece of art. I'd love to get my hands on an original PC or XT motherboard and frame it.

I have a very old Dell T7400 with two X5450 quad core 3.0ghz processors over here that will outperform the FX-8150 or whatever they are .. The AMD octo core chips are a HUGE SCAM

If you think intel chips don't outperform AMD you've lost your MIND
I've used those 8 core AMD machines and they're horrible

When it comes to all of the people who post good reasons for owning macs and they have good uses for them and the mac suits their needs, that's different, but 90% of your mac owners just buy it because "HEY LOOK I CAN AFFORD AN OVERPRICED EXPENSIVE TOP OF THE LINE DEVICE I DON'T HAVE MUCH CONTROL OVER"
