The "celeb" niche in porn is and always has been shady. MrSkin is no exception. The affiliates promoting celeb content AND the sponsors are using content they don't own. That's the nature of the game.

It's pretty obvious what happened here. They were taking heat, decided to look through your account and realized that you were making money from rebills while sending very little new sales so they said fuck that... cancelled your account and will keep all the money to themselves. Pretty common practice in the industry.

Exactly. The content is not the main problem here.

The problem is how they handled things. Instead of supporting a old time webmaster who had been faithful for years, they decided it was a good time to screw him over and keep the profits. It's simply a shit move on their part.

Anyway, the legality of content or fair use is not the point of the thread. The point is that MrSkin will gladly take all your traffic, not matter how clean or dirty it is. But they will fuck you over when they are not profiting from it anymore (i.e., when you stop sending them traffic and just collecting rebills money). It's a question of affiliate program's integrity. MrSkin has none - they will throw you under the bus at a drop of a hat.
I'm done in this thread as there really isn't anything more to say. Just to answer your question, this GIF was part of a content package I purchased a while back so I do have a license to use it.

If you are posting modern photographs, without even knowing the source, you do know you are violating copyright.

Mr. Skin is presumably not promoting this photographer because his work does not appear on their site. I believe they do promote the work of people whose copyrighted material does appear on their site. Are you disagreeing with that?

You, on the other hand, are using that person's work and not promoting him. Mr. Skin has told you who the owner is, so why would you ask GFY where the images you took are, before you would ask the person with a lawyer where he thinks you are using his property? Do you disagree that your screenshots show Mr. Skin told you whose photos this is about?

What is confusing you here? Mr. Skin can't legally make money off of your illegal activity, which the complainant's attorney has notified them of. So you need to make good with the copyright holder, not complain to strangers on the internet about Mr. Skin.

That is not disagreeing with me at all. I made no assertion about Mr. Skin, other than that they told you where the complaint came from and they do give credit to their sources.

Mr. Skin can't work with you to solve you pissing off a copyright holder Mr. Skin has nothing to do with. You used content unrelated to Mr. Skin. They told you who the owner you have to satisfy is. Why would you give up domains and complain to GFY before contacting the owner of the photos to see what you could do to make it right?

If you can describe that the content is from Fifty Shades Darker, there is promotional credit.

Why are you scared to contact the actual owner of the work you posted and made money off of?

- I was forced to give up my domains
- My Rebills were stolen from me
- I couldn't do anything because Skin were set from the get go to screw me over.

I asked them for the DMCA report but they never gave me one.

ANY webmaster would be violating Skin's trademark just by running their banner on his website.

I was using the domains to exclusively promote them. There were zero seo rankings, the domains had Skin galleries on them.

That's what's called affiliate marketing.

They just decided to be greedy cunts about it.
