I don't know what you read - the US newspapers say that we have beers with balalaykas walking across Moscow streets, the Soviet news were saying that Americans hung up people for being black. The same applies to the "news" about Dubai. Just go there and you'll find out they don't care about foreign gays or lesbians. It is forbidden to have gay sex... for locals. It is forbidden to drink vodka... for locals. It is forbidden to have sex with a prostitute... for locals. It is forbidden to eat pork... for locals. It is bidden to walk with open face... for local women. As a tourist you are an exception from these rules.

Just an example of something which is a crime in my country and in your country too. When my buddy was stopped by Dubai police, he was DUI (not drunk in shit of course, maybe a bottle or two of beer). The Dubai cop told him he feels the smell of alcohol. The buddy just asked him: "are you Muslim?". The cop answered "yes, of course!". The buddy said: "so how do you know the smell of alcohol?" After that he was released. And that's not a joke. That's a real story.

P.S. Dubai is one of the most popular traveling places for Russian tourists who are known for breaking the rules, having a lot of sex, drinking alcohol, smoking etc. They known for everything... which is forbidden in Dubai. But somehow they have no problems in that country. How come?

Sure but in order to test your "hypothesis", you can't do it with your fat ass on a couch, always arms length from a sack of potato chips. You actually need to go there and experience it.

I think the OP will have a great time and maybe Dubai will be a better place because dicks like you will give it a wide berth :321GFY

it just seems there is nothing all that unique there that you can experience elsewhere without supporting their backwards ideals. call me retarded if you want. i can't see any reason to go there. i can think of a dozen places i'd go before going there.

So visiting Jockeys is the only way to realize that big wide world exists? If you haven't been there, you haven't realized that?
Just clarifying if we get it correctly.

Not talking about what people get away with there dummy, talking about what is punishable by law when one gets caught.

But it is true there are a lot of Russian tourists, majority of them are russian women taking arab cock for 1,000 dirham.

I broke every rule there and didn't get any problems although I did get told off once. It's there to warn people from behaving in a way which offends what is a conservative culture. You won't end up in prison unless you really are asking for it and they want to make an example of you but there are 100k's of western people living/working there without issue.

You can do everything except drugs but drugs are still banned in most countries, right? Some western people are just too stupid to follow the basic rule of "when in Rome, do as the Romans do".

Are you for real? Western people are the most abiding to that common sense rule in the world. It is arab types who should be educated on that.

Twisting facts as usual. That is how libbies operate, they can not win any argument unless they twist facts.
Ps: this specific matter is not libby related, I am just making an observation about fact twisting being second nature to libbies.

Come on, you can kiss in Dubai. It only causes offense if you rub it in their faces. It's worth noting that although Dubai is part of the UAE, there are very few arabs in Dubai - I don't know the number but when you move around, it feels like less than 5% of the population.

Dubai is one of the biggest holiday destinations in the world and with good reason.

Completely changed my views. No wonder there's so much war in the world with propaganda used to make people believe certain things about countries...

it's what a few thousand miles away from me in Spain & I thought bikinis & kissing were illegal, among many other normal daily things.

Thank you for your post :thumbsup

j3rkules 08-10-2016 03:49 AM

Homosexuality is illegal: homosexuality is a capital offense in the UAE.[49][50] In 2014, an Emirati man was on trial for being accused of a "gay handshake".[50]

Kissing in public is illegal and can result in deportation.[51] Expats in Dubai have been deported for kissing in public.[52][53][54] In Abu Dhabi, two residents of Arab nationalities have been sentenced to 80 lashes for kissing in public.

Apostasy is a crime punishable by death in the UAE.[37][38] Blasphemy is illegal, expats involved in insulting Islam are punished by deportation.[39] UAE incorporates hudud crimes of Sharia into its Penal Code - apostasy being one of them.[40] Article 1 and Article 66 of UAE's Penal Code requires hudud crimes to be punished with the death penalty,[40][41] therefore apostasy is punishable by death in the UAE.

Because nobody knows what's in her glass ;) Actually you can't drink on the US and Russian beaches too. So it's not something special.

Bikini's are not an approved clothing but you will see hundreds of people in bikinis at the beach and i think they are trying to introduce fines but honestly, no-one gives a fuck and what's the big deal?

Well maybe if you visit, you can observe the foreigners and their behavior and maybe talk to them. Wherever you go, you see europeans, americans, brits, russians etc. The certain rules in place are no reason to drop Dubai. If it was nearly as bad as some people make out, it wouldn't be anywhere near such a big destination.

When I was in the UK (over a decade ago), Dubai was becoming the number one destination for Brits but I think its gone even much higher since then.

I've traveled to over 50 countries and more than 200 cities. I've been to Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi, UAE to name just a few and I live in a muslim country so I know the score. Arabs are basically very decent people and as you rightly say, there is a lot of bullshit propaganda.

I bet you would really enjoy a short trip there.

Dubai is known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On man-made islands just offshore is Atlantis, the Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks. Indeed, Dubai is one of the beautiful countries in the world.

Correction, Dubai is just a city within a country (The UAE ie "The United Arab Emirates"). Anyhow, all of you wanting to get a better picture about how things REALLY are in Dubai, here is 15 minutes of video which will give you a small taster:

Not just a city. It's an Emirate. Something like a state with its own chief (aka emir).

There really isn't much to consider, some of the information in here is very wrong and highly exaggerated. Are there better places than Dubai to spend your money to go on vacation to? Yes. Is Dubai an amazing City that is only getting bigger and better? Yes. My main gripe is the narrow mindedness and bullshit about what you can/can't do there.

If I didn't go to places because of every bullshit comment that is made, I'd stick to Canada & Scotland only. As it is, I enjoy travel and going to new places so I'm not afraid to go somewhere to check it out for myself.

Read my posts in this thread..

Dubai is super fun.. been there LOTS of times.. I have friends who grew up and STILL LIVE IN DUBAI

Just 2 rules:

1.Just dont do or try to buy or have anything to do with DRUGS
2. No public kissing, etc

Someone here said you can kiss in public in dubai. Dont do it.. my friend kissed his girl in some store and the people there called the police while they were shopping and they got detained for a while..

I told you i got yelled at by an arab guy cuz my girl was holding my hands and kinda holding me super close.. (he basically said something like: go back to your country you stupid tourist, dont do that nonsense in my country, next time ill call the police)

Oh yeah also dont try to flip off a local or tell him to fuck off..

Basically all it comes down to is:

1. No drugs
2. keep your dick in your pants in public
3. dont fuck with locals(you will know them as they usually have traditional arab wear on)

Dubai isnt like america, if i know someone that knows someone i can basically legally get the police to fuck with you..

Also if you know the right people you can also escape any type of problems..

Enjoy..

I must say, I lived in Dubai and I must have been in the Dubai mall well over a hundred times and I never saw that sign so (assuming it exists) it looks like someone was *really* searching for it. Well it does it say explicitly "Guidelines" although if you look at any youtube video of the Dubai Mall you'll see lots of people who are not exactly conforming.
