UBI is easy. Stop charging people W2 taxes. Done deal. Employers save money, Employess keep what they earn. Make it up with a Universal consumption tax (Sales tax). That would stop ALL forms of tax evasion. Corporate or otherwise. It would also tax 100% of the underground economy because you eventually are spending your gains in some way.
The government and the people that are a part of it are a giant collection of retards. Name a country and the same holds true. |

Target has a bunch of them now too. Walked into a store the other day to find 1/4 of the registers replaced with self checkouts. |

Conclussion: if robot labor leads to mass unemployment it will be mass unemployment in Asia... Introducing UBI because of mass unemployment caused by robots is just totally plucked out of thin air. |

there has never been a time like this in history...robots used to be expensive and complicated to program...the new robots out there cost 1 western yearly salary total and literally learn by watching you work... what is even more scary is software...AI will replace humans much more than robots ever could...right now software is trading on wall street and not humans... there is no coming back from this one... |

so what Struggle4Bucks pointed out makes sense, if the predictions are true, countries whose economies are based on manufacturing will be effected first and to greater extent than "service" economies... |

AI is our worst nightmare, not in the terminator kind of way, but in a "I can do this so much better than you for pennies" kind of way...AI does not have to declare war on humans like in terminator :1orglaugh, it just has to make us un-employable and we will die out on our own :2 cents: AI will be the steroids of the service economy world...you either take AI or you lose to AI... there has never been a period in history like this...there is no coming back from this one... |

I adjust, if they give me more money it is ok.
And than we will see if it works. It would create a whole new world and has big influence. I just studied tourism rapports for the comming 10-20 years. Work, living and holiday will be combined. People travelling around, live eveywhere and do some work online. They are already naming the 'digital nomads' in the surveys. So, nothing changes for me, only the government want to give money for doing nothing. Well o.k. than. People shouldn't work from 18 years old till they are dead or 67 years old. But now i have to work, i want make money from people that get free money. Big market. |
Did you guys watch the movie Wall-E? All the humans are fat slobs who lay around in their floating movable chairs drinking their food, while the robots do everything. Somehow I think this a very likely scenario for the future. Lazy humans getting fatter and more dependant on machines to the point where noone works but gets everything free.

think about all those people. Free money. Nothing to do but watch porn all day in VR.
And some people still work and make more money. |

I've seen so many lazy ass fucks here in the states on assistance programs to know what it does. Hell. My (ex) closest friend is a sociopathic mentally disturbed worthless harm causing piece of walking filth and a disgusting useless trouble making hate breeding animal thanks to being a subsidized parasitic piece of shit. Fuck all of that It did nothing but exacerbate the symptoms of her mental issues and she should be in prison where her bitch ass belongs but there's NO accountability for these inane morons NONE After all the trouble that scum caused for me it even used the legal system to cause me untold hell because it's so use to gaming the system and getting away with everything I'd rather live under a fucking bridge than go on welfare |
This last 100 years we've seen a huge growth in wages and living conditions. Based on the need for human workers.
In the last 10 years, we have been part of the collapse of the previous model. We are today, where instead of buying a video or magazine, people go online. Pornhub feed 100s of millions on a staff that could never have coped in the offline porn world. And online porn is shrinking in terms of workers. Will affiliates be required in 5 years time when one person can buy ads? How many people are employed building cars in 2016, compare that with 1986. More cars on the roads, less people building them. Even flipping burgers or intricate surgery can be done better by a computer. Will the top 1% who own the computers share their wealth or go back to the time when the top 1% were very rich off the backs of 90% being very poor? http://paintandpattern.com/wp-conten...of-Mirrors.jpg http://bienvenue.chateauversailles.f...4f5ff034a0.jpg |

If someone gives you a check for $800 per month are you going to quit working? Most people will say no. The entire point is that our production levels are at all time highs. It's not that we don't produce value, it's that it all goes to a very few people. You cover everyone's basic needs and society prospers even though it goes against the "just pull on your bootstraps" mindset. I hate lazy fucks as well, that has **nothing** to do with UBI. They exist and always will and guess what? If less work is needed because we are so fucking efficient at what we do then who gives a flying fuck? Humans should really work 40 hours a week for most of their lives to share in the resources available in this world? |
