50 orange faced twats "fixing" the economy ?

Well firstly Trumps credentials as a businessman are very suspect. There is plenty of evidence that suggests the Trump empire is a rather shaky house of cards built on not paying the little guy, plenty of bankruptcies to shed debt, and enough losses to ensure he never pays any tax.

Then you look at what he thinks is wrong. If he thinks that building walls and ceasing international trade is going to "fix" the economy then he is dreaming.

As I said before technology is destroying jobs for the middle and working classes. Tech might create a few highly paid jobs for the highly skilled and educated. But not for "Joe".

And now we have the tech giants in a race to develop driverless vehicles. Now Joe cannot even get a job driving a truck or a cab. Who is Trump going to blame for that ?

so while everyone else ignores the issue, he calls it like it is, if nothing gets done, we will eventually reach tipping point on the verge of default and something will have to be done, either print more $$, renegotiate the debt, etc...

it's not like your side has any decent solutions, your solution is basically: we'll spend like a drunk sailor, and we'll let the next guy worry about it... just like we've seen done by Obama... if he wouldn't have doubled the debt, this whole national debt debate wouldn't even be an issue at all now...

so Obama fucks things up, Trump proposes unpleasant solutions, he is labeled nuts or "scary idiot".. :error

Obama took office mid financial crisis.

All of the western economies saw their deficits double or treble in the period after 2008.

It really is quite ridiculous to say Obama fucked things up and caused the deficit.

If huuuge loss was predicted his odds would be WAAAAY less than that.
Learn how statistics, probability theory works.

http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/...tion-forecast/ 20% is 1 red ball and 4 blue balls, get blinded and pick one. It would not be a huge surprise to pick red one, so yeah, his chances of winning are damn real.

many countries did indeed experience significant debt growth, many however did not, for example: germany, denmark, sweden, austria, etc..

so claiming doubling national debt was inevitable, is just as ridiculous... to be fair, it was indeed partially due to poor economic conditions, but a lot of the blame should go to the uncontrolled spending by the Obama administration...

ok, I get it, Trump's solutions suck... so what is your side proposing that will make average Joe's financial situation go back to what it was 10 or 15 years ago?

there is no going back for unskilled workers - you need qualification programs for young people and affordable higher education - just like almost any other industrial nation.

if anybody thinks Trump would make jobs come back to the US that Chinese do for 10 bucks a day, you need your head checked.

true, but that's not what "average Joe" wants to hear though... he wants to hear that jobs will come back, so he can go back to working as a welder for GM for $30+/hr... it's unlikely to happen, but there is at least a glimmer of hope that at the very least Trump could slow down the exodus of middle class unskilled jobs...

that's why Trump is appealing to him, while Hillary has nothing to offer...

Donald Trump has no record of public service and no qualifications for public office. His affect is that of an infomercial huckster; he traffics in conspiracy theories and racist invective; he is appallingly sexist; he is erratic, secretive, and xenophobic; he expresses admiration for authoritarian rulers, and evinces authoritarian tendencies himself. He is easily goaded, a poor quality for someone seeking control of America?s nuclear arsenal. He is an enemy of fact-based discourse; he is ignorant of, and indifferent to, the Constitution; he appears not to read.
That right there is the most scathing of insults, but also (amusingly enough) probably the most arguable point of the bunch.

People have to remember, Trump is used to being the top dog in the boardroom, the guy whose voice shuts down all others (or else "they're fired"). To expect he'd be any different as President is beyond naive.

We've created fifteen million jobs since 2012. Unemployment is under 5%.

If you want things to continue to improve go with Hillary. If you don't like the improvements we've had in the past eight years, if you don't like having a 5% unemployment rate, roll the fucking dice, vote Trump, and pray that having someone in office who has zero experience in politics doesn't result in 10% unemployment like the last time we had a Republican in the White House, with people losing their jobs and houses.

We have this "thing" in the United States where we "want change" even when change is not needed. We do this every four years with the election cycle. We do this because the other side points out mistakes of the current administration in the past four years and says "they fucked up" and "we need change". But take a look at where we were eight years ago when Bush left office, and then compare that to where we are now - Which is better. (I'll give you a hint - eight years ago unemployment was 12% and now it's under 5% - which is better?) We can continue to have improvements or we can close our eyes and walk off a cliff and hope someone with no experience can do better.

The Republican party has completely fucked this up. They keep telling us how bad things are, when they are so obviously better. By doing this they are handing Obama a victory. Instead, the Republican party needs to say "Look how good our Republican Congress has done" and then say "If we had a Republican president, we could have done so much better".

I would agree with you in part, but let's be fair: Obama inherited the debt from Bush.

I don't know if everyone is ignoring the issue but let's say they are. Trump calling it like it is would be a good thing, sure. I don't believe he has any idea to fix the problem but even if he did, wouldn't you agree that there are many other reasons not to vote him in?

Perhaps. It's hard to say. Don't say "my" side though.. I'm not fan of Clinton really. I just think Trump would be worse.

All those statistics only give illusion of things greatly improving, for example take a look at "labor participation rate" which shows percent of adults actually working:

http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/w...te-425x255.png

so while the official statistics may show 5% unemployment, the reality is that they don't count the guys that used to make $30+/hr in manufacturing... and now said "fuck this, if I can't make the same $$, I certainly am not going to flip burgers for $8/hr, I'd rather collect unemployment benefits"... (he is not counted, cause he is not looking for work)

... and lets be real, Trump isn't gaining traction because of his offensive jokes, he is gaining traction because many people are frustrated with the status quo, which contradicts your theory of things being great...

ah, you & crockett & bronco...im no fan of hilary, but i lean to the left.

thats why hilary is going to lose...the bernie backers not voting hilary will outnumber the religious right nutters nevertrumping...in the states that matter, the ones the liberal media has already handed to hilary.

the rust belt. michigan, pennsylvania, & possibly wisconson & minnesota will be red, not blue. this is where the liberals are fudging polls hardest, as you can see by the rally sizes of each candidate in the rust belt, bear no correlation to the bullshit polls.

any media showing the rust belt as blue is bullshitting out their ass. especially realclearpolitics... :1orglaugh

I never said things are great. I said things are better.

We have 5% unemployment, which is obviously better than 12% unemployment. Are we making less? Yes. Are our houses worth less? Yes. Are our investments worth less? Yes.

Everyone is making less, which is what happens after a recession. You can try to argue "this is taking a lot longer than before" but frankly this has never happened before - not in my life time. I don't remember people losing their jobs and then their houses like this ever before.

This is not something that someone can flip and switch and it's suddenly fixed. This will take time to work through, and it will take time for us to get back to where we were.

If you think someone who has no experience can quickly fix this, then vote for Trump.
