So glad I sold my Mac and went back to Windows. Hated using it.

Apple is too greedy. They don't want to sell you a machine that can do everything, they want you to have to buy a tablet and a laptop.

Apple could have owned it had they put the regular OS on their tablets so you could run things like Photoshop. Instead they saw $$ in selling apps vs making something actually useful.

Good stuff :thumbsup

I love my iMac and I love my iPhone but not a fan boi by any means. They may have retarded amounts of cash, but nothing exciting has come along sense Steve died. Tim is running it like any old business and bringing in longtail money from the customers Steve got with innovative products. It's going to end at some point. Soon, if they keep screwing around with ideas that have no real connection with what their core once was: cars, etc.

This new Microsoft CEO just may have reignited the competition flame. I have a Microsoft store and an Apple store right next to my place. The Apple Store is always crowded of course, Microsoft not so much, but the Microsoft store is actually really fun to go in and just hang out. They have games set up, virtual reality, they teach classes, many employees available to answer questions.

According to Steve Jobs:

?We?ve done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn?t work. Touch surfaces don?t want to be vertical.

It gives great demo but after a short period of time, you start to fatigue and after an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. it doesn?t work, it?s ergonomically terrible.

Touch surfaces want to be horizontal, hence pads.?

Meanwhile, Apple announces more crap that anyone doing any real work won't want anything to do with.

They have completely abandoned the professional creatives market, which was their bread and butter for the longest time.

I can appreciate the beautiful in people, animals, machines, science, nature and technology, and I will always say when I do. Trump is as ugly as they get, but if he ever says or does anything beautiful, I'll give him a thumbs-up.

I'm on the fence about this. I touch my ipad screen all the time of course, but I'm not sure about touching my computer screen. The new Macbook as that new touchable OLED strip at the top which looks really cool and useful. I'm sure there's a good reason for not making the screens touchable but I don't know what it would be.

I don't know about that. I use my Mac's and ipads for completely different things. I own desktops, laptops, and hand-helds, and never felt the WANT of having them all combined into a unit. They each seem to serve their purpose in their own way to me.

As much as I like to bash Apple.... I think I agree with you.

My laptop has a touch screen and frankly I never use it. I have a Microsoft Surface, and only touch the screen when I am using it as a tablet.

When you are working on a PC or a laptop, you really don't need a touch screen.
