On second thought. I remember seeing a video some time ago where these machines were counting votes in 100ths or 1000ths of a percent so the percentage could be the same. But here are the actual tallies

There might be some truth to it being about election integrity, but the real reason is to hope they can flip a couple of these states to keep Trump from taking office.

Their theory is likely this: If they can get a recount to flip Michigan and Pennsylvania over to Clinton that would make it Trump 270 and Clinton 268. If they can then get a couple of faithless electors to flip on Trump Clinton could take over.

It's a long shot, but at this point clearly democrats are desperate.

They've raised over $2.5 million in donations so Wisconsin will evidently officially be recounted.

Mine was a scanned paper ballot -- I am in MI. The whole state I cannot say for sure.

The point Stein is making is that those machines can be hacked and recounting the paper ballots will be accurate.

Well, there won't be any hanging chads this time.
They can rescan the ballots very quickly with certified scanners.

The scanner at the voting polls is like a paper shredder-atm. You feed the ballot into the scanner box slot yourself and it is scanned and stored in the secure container below. Very easy to recount.

Bottom line it will be a recounted certified examination. Whoever is certified as the winner won -- no disputes. Just petty bickering.

Years ago California banned the machines they use in Michigan specifically because they're so easy to hack.

I think this could actually bring some closure to the process. If there is no recount there are going to be some people who will believe Trump stole the election no matter what people say to them. At least, with a recount, if it shows the original result is correct then they know he won the state fairly.

No, you are wrong. The electronic machines that were the problem were the touch screen voting machines with no paper ballot record.

I am convinced Bladewire is Hillary.

I had assumed that the ballots were rescanned anyway but that may not be so.

The old lever type machines could be reset or rolled back like a speedometer. Humans checking ballots for their marks is time consuming and 2 or 3 people must visually inspect every ballot for an accurate count.

I doubt this recount will change the outcome. However, the delay and aggravation of the winners during the recount is worth every penny my entertainment dollar.

Clearly the Democrats are "desperate" - they lost. And this is their last chance to win. If a recount does in fact flip two states and gives the election to Clinton, then that's that.

At this point we should automatically recount everything. Just to be sure.
