I think this could actually bring some closure to the process. If there is no recount there are going to be some people who will believe Trump stole the election no matter what people say to them. At least, with a recount, if it shows the original result is correct then they know he won the state fairly.

No, you are wrong. The electronic machines that were the problem were the touch screen voting machines with no paper ballot record.

I had assumed that the ballots were rescanned anyway but that may not be so.

The old lever type machines could be reset or rolled back like a speedometer. Humans checking ballots for their marks is time consuming and 2 or 3 people must visually inspect every ballot for an accurate count.

I doubt this recount will change the outcome. However, the delay and aggravation of the winners during the recount is worth every penny my entertainment dollar.

Clearly the Democrats are "desperate" - they lost. And this is their last chance to win. If a recount does in fact flip two states and gives the election to Clinton, then that's that.

At this point we should automatically recount everything. Just to be sure.

Not 1 Trump supporter is scared. Trump has a 70,000+ vote lead in PA. 10,000+ vote lead in MI and a 27,000 vote lead in WI. MI just certified their election and they only found 500 extra votes for Clinton in weeks. The likelihood they find 10s of thousands in not happening. Zero chance. Complete waste of time.

FACT: It's been proven voting machines can be hacked.

FACT: Government emails were hacked and released to throw the election.

FACT: Trump confirmed the election is rigged.

Fact: If the machines were hacked we will never know. You think they are gonna actually let the whole world know that they allowed voting machines that been under scrutiny for the last 8 years not gonna happen.

I think, in the end, the results of the election will be the same even after the recount. The only state I could see having a chance to flip would be Michigan because it is so close.

Where this could turn into a shit show is if the recount finds some kind of fraud taking place on one side or the other. If it shows that Clinton committed voter fraud in one of these states then it will just reinforce everyone's ideas that she is crooked and corrupt. If it shows Trump/Republicans committing fraud there will be more protests and it could get ugly.

I don't think that will be the case because I still think Trump didn't think he was going to win and deep down he didn't want to win so any fraud on his side would have come from the party and not him.
