I bought the domain name 10 years ago, put some dating software on it, did absolutely nothing, and years later looked and found I have thousands of (free) members. All from Google I guess.

I've done this with many niches but this CD niche had by far the most activity, maybe from the domain name.

To be honest I'm not that interested in diving into the niche so I'm hands off, but I would like to either
1. Partner with someone good who can build it up and make it profitable
or
2. Sell it.

Neither of your requests are very actionable in this capacity. If you are not interested in the niche or working on it, you absolutely should sell or partner. Partnering is going to be a long shot. Selling would be your best option.

Does it make any money? Has it made any money? Is there a simple change that you could make right now so that it starts making money?

If the answer to the last question is yes, go ahead and make those changes, then sit on it for a while. Collect your free money and in 6-12 months you will have some data that you can use to sell the site out right.

Damn this site looks hot.

Here are my thoughts.
#1 I like the top image. Very sexy.
#2 the moving gif is great. Close up, sexy, sensual. Gives great vibe of what the site is about.


So some ideas.
#1 Your 404 page. I'd make your 404 page go to a specific 404 page that looks like your join page. For example have your join box on that page and then an message that says sorry the page you are looking for isn't available but join now and get access to all of our content. Something like that. We did this on Twistys and saw a very nice uptick in sales. It's not going to add 20 a day but it's going to add more than you have now :thumbsup

#2 The tour feels a little bit light on content. Is it a new site? If it is I would emphasize that and date your content. I would say how the hottest adult site has launched, updates every x days.

#3 I'd add the model's full name. No reason not to.

#4 The content looks really really fuckin hot but this feels like a one page ad. I think you could really hide your lack of content by expanding on the preview you offer. I'd have each preview go to another page with a full 30 second trailers (highest res) and 8 high res photo previews. Why? Because this content is SO SO SO good you have to see it to believe it. Just an animated gif does it no justice. So instead of landing on this page and getting only 2 animated gifs give the surfer 9 pages to view with high quality trailers and photos. This isn't easily implemented which is why i listed it as #4. I know it may go against what many are doing with tours today but this content looks so good I feel people seeing it in full high def would be the clincher. The trailers don't even have to be elaborate they just have to show the same hotness you have in the gif but in large format.

#5 i feel this layout is 50% preview and 50% text but the text adds absolutely nothing to the sale of the content. I imagine 97% won't even read (besides model name). I know it is filler. I would try to fill with some other data. If you have active members maybe set ratings, votes, comments. If I saw the first scene Taking the Lead and instead of the text it said 394 Votes, 9.4 Rating, 122 Comments. That would get me thinking HOLY SHIT that must be hot content. Something along those lines. Maybe set up the tour so the votes and rating and comments move daily. Votes increase by x amount a day, rating fluctuates up and down daily and comments go up x amount per day.

#6 Just checked it on mobile as well. Looks great. I'd lower the text/text size. As i scroll on an iphone 7 most of the screen is text then thumbnail then text.

Hi this one will be a challenge. One market I know nothing about. Let's see how it goes.

#1 First thought is your big screen shot when i land on the page shows Tweets. I know it's your platform and your layout but my eye can only make out Tweets so my initial thought is this a TweetDeck competitor? Nothing about it makes me think it's a host. How about switching that to something that looks like a website layout? or what you are trying to sell.

#2 This is not an easy actionable item but feedback on the video. I like the idea of your video but the execution misses the mark. You have a few icons/images you use in it that i have no idea what they are (ie the box one that looks like a wrapped present). The colours and the strictly icon nature of the video really don't work for me. I'd much rather a LIVE video of you showcasing a real example.

#3 Is there a reason you have NO adult on your site? I mean you are an adult host trying to explain you do adult hosting but there are no adult images. Makes me wonder why is an adult host afraid to show adult photos.

#4 When I click Features I expected a page with a list of features and maybe screeenshots. Same with Video. When it just dropped the page a tad to the features section it left me disappointed. It made me feel like if this one page layout disappoints me is that the feeling the product is going to leave me with? Think about your prospective client what is he looking for during the process of discovering your service you don't want any moments of disappointment.

#5 I'd like to see samples. I think this is something you can easily add to this page. Should take 30 minutes. Add 4 to 12 sample sites using your service.

#6 Testimonials. I'd add 5 to 10 testimonials.

#7 Are you growing? If show post a graphic of your bw chart from the day you started or number of hits. If you have a graph that looks like you have hockey stick growth Post it.

#8 What are the best features you offer? I can't tell from this page. Clearly there are 3 things you are fuckin awesome at. Are there 3 things you do better than everyone? TELL US what they are and why.

I like you :) You've said many times you know what you are doing and don't want feedback. You are one person that has made a point over the years of telling me how much you don't want my feedback. Has something changed? Email me a few main sites you are working on and i'll give you feedback on them. But only if you really want it :thumbsup

I disagree with this. SinfulXXX doesn't strike me as a site trying to replicate real life rather it's trying to portray and deliver the fantasy world we like to imagine. I don't have a problem with the location i think it adds to the mystic and sexiness.

Just giving this a bump ..... but also want to stress that at the end of the day, it's your site. You have to do what you feel is in your best interest. Not all suggestions can be implemented, especially if you receive conllicting advice.

This industry as a whole suffers greatly from a cookie cutter mentality. If you feel that your presentation is unique enough that it stands out from the rest, then stick to your guns. There are an untold number of sites out there that get treated the same just because they look the same.

It is true that in some cases, it is advantageous to share similarities with other popular sites. But if those sites are banging cards or riddled with malware, yours can be guilty of these practices too merely through the surfer's process of association.

So what I am looking for are new traffic sources and strategies and how to optimize the areas of my business I am less-than-great at (mailings, social media, etc). I am not looking for design feedback or how to tweak this or that on a Tour. :)

Not true. I accept feedback as long as it is private and constructive. But being in this Industry for eight years now I've learned that doing this on a public forum just opens yourself up to trolling, negativity and sometimes outright theft of ideas. Not from Shap but from others who wish to chime in.

I've learned, grown and earned more money by listening to others. But I've also learned that what works for other companies does not always work for me (and vice versa) so a real knowledge of my business model and its' limitations is what's needed for any feedback to be really useful. :)

Hey Shap, thanks a million. I love honest constructive feedback like this - I haven't gotten back to you yet as we are super busy developing a pretty big update to the system. Once this is done, we'll get on to doing an overhaul on the main page and when that is live, I'll report back here for a second round :)
