I love my country and think burning a flag is shitty, but it's legal. Buttfucking is shitty, but it's legal. Raping your wife is shitty, but it's legal. I think you feel more about the material flag than the rights and history it represents, and your fellow Americans equal rights :2 cents: If your patriotism makes you a better American than most then you of all people should stand by the American you despise most and defend their rights as your own. This is how Democrats think/act. This is why the vast majority of military voters are registered Democrats :2 cents: |

I was messing with you about the wife rape, that became illegal in 1979. I'm American born and bred. I don't think I'm a better American because I don't want a flag burned, but clearly you think it makes you a better man, more of an American than me, a better American. By your same logic with your "knowing the law" comment, lawyers are better Americans than you because they know more about the law :2 cents: Got me! Just realised you're a troll nick registered last month only posting in political threads e2 posts total. Blocking you :thumbsup |

funny to read GFY libs protect free speech when that speech is flag burning.
when it comes to uttering the N word however, its dangerous & must be wiped out. :1orglaugh |

491 U.S. 397 Texas v. Johnson (No. 88-155) Argued: March 21, 1989 Decided: June 21, 1989 Do you actually expect the US Supreme Court to reverse itself? |

America cannot be destroyed by someone burning a flag. If someone feels strongly enough about how their country is working for them, or not working for them, to express themselves by destroying a symbol of that country than so be it. Someone disagreeing with what our country is doing is not an enemy of our country. We have the right to seek redress, we have the right to express ourselves, we have the right to disagree with our elected leaders and we have a right to express that disagreement as long as we are doing no physical harm to other people or their property or infringing upon other people's rights. As was stated earlier, if they don't own the flag that they are burning then they are breaking a different law. If they want to lay out the cash to buy a flag and then just burn it, have at it. . |
I too am former military. I have my opinion and you have yours. My opinion is the only one that matters to me in this subject of burning the flag. It is a black and white matter as far as I am concerned.

Also, you stated that "Its value is far more important than the life of a singular person.", but apparently it's value is worth less than your life. So, you putting yourself above all the others? (second point I noticed later, just using that to poke you with..lol) . |

I have a question for you: As someone who has served, do you see Flag Burning as an insult to you personally, or to the Military? Or does it depend on the circumstance? Could someone burn the flag to say, protest against the government, but not protest against the American militar? Could a person who has served, and / or, a person who loves their country, still burn the flag for, let's say, a protest against racial discrimination, or perhaps in a protest against oil companies treading on native-owned land? |

You cannot claim your right to law and order while only supporting the laws you agree with. Unless, you are a hypocrite.
As repugnant as they may be to me, KKK and neo-Nazies have rights of free speech and freedom of assembly. By the same constitutional rights -- I have the right to denounce them. If you don't like the US Constitution and the laws promulgated then adjudicated by the courts -- get the fuck out of my country -- there are plenty of nations with only state authorized expression and assembly that you can choose from. |

please tell the author that the recipients of the perceived slur HAVE A CHOICE TO DECIDE HOW TO REACT. the assumption that black people have a right to be hostile in the face of a word is a profoundly fake idea. black people can, & should, choose to ignore it. But the civil rights industry constantly reminds the community of the past & to shackle them permanently into the liberal plantation. This is the keystone to keep black people democrats: fear & ignorance, of a word that should have no power anymore, but the civil rights industry keeps it alive, for power/money/grants from rich libs. the important thing to understand that it is NURTURE, not NATURE, that makes a community mad at a word. todays black people are not slaves, can vote, can educate themselves via the web now. no excuses to be mad at the word now... except making blacks hate the word is a jobs program for the social justice movement. get a clue mark. :1orglaugh |
dont libs find it odd...
that the ethnic slurs so liberally traded in the 70s...spick, spook, chink, guke, slopes, wop, guinea, honkey...are totally out of the vocabulary now. but the big bad N word persists, since its the only word with an entire social justice cause that profits from teaching black children to hate it when white people use it. but its OK to use it when rapping. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
so liberals. how do your fellow voters in the rust belt think of you dumb libs...when your so vocal about protecting the right to burn old glory...but ban Ben shapiro from giving a conservative speech at a college. Ban milo for insulting the token black ghostbuster on twitter.
interesting free speech interpretation by libs...free speech only when libs agree with it...like burning the US flag is OK, N word, no... :1orglaugh |
^^^ Classic meltdown. Reminds me of someone named Dyna Mo.
