Hillary Clinton is not removed from reality, she's just not a good campaigner. She's a workhorse, that's why she was 73% approval rating as Secretary of State. Trump lost the election by over 2,500,000 votes and counting. Hillary Clinton related far better to the majority than Trump, just not the racists in the rust belt.

ALL of these people do not represent the average American. McCain, Romney, Clinton, Trump.... All of these people are multi millionaires many times over. These are people who have never really known what it is like to fall on hard times. They have never known what it's like to search the cushions of the couch so they can afford to have a burger at McDonald's.
They just don't have an understanding of what it is like to be an average American. Trump and his kids have no idea what it's like to be a public school because they've never been to one. Same with most of the others - Romney, for example, was in public school until 7th grade and then went to private schools. You think his kids went to public school?
Our public schools right now are fucked. We have this common core nonsense. No one understands it - Not the politicians, not the school administrators, not the teachers, not the parents, and most important of all not the kids. This started when my kid entered high school. Now we have this new person who will be in charge of the education department who wants to more or less end public schools. We are going to have an entire generation of kids that will not get a proper grade school / high school education because of this nonsense, which will have massive ramifications twenty or thirty years from now when that generation is running the country. |
