This weekend on Facebook one of my local friends - an older man - posted a link to an article about how "adults shouldn't take ibuprofen". The article talks about how "all of the doctors" are telling their patients not to take ibuprofen. The article didn't name any specific doctors or hospitals, and didn't give any real reasons why someone shouldn't take ibuprofen. Half way through the article they start to talk about some kind of alternative medicine. Of course, at the end of the article there was links to buy this alternative medicine.

All of his friends were all over it - OMG ibuprofen is suddenly bad for us, all of these doctors are telling us this, and we should try this alternative medicine. His wife was all into it, and a few other people were believing it. It was just amazing how they all accepted this article as absolute fact without any evidence at all. It wasn't a medical site, or even a news site, it was just a blog with some random stuff on it.

This is becoming more and more common. It's just amazing how people read something on social media, accept it as fact, and then re-post it without verifying it.

tRUMP!

NO?

For 18 months the world media stated that Trump had no chance in hell of winning. This created a false sense of security for Democrats and Clinton supporters, leading to a highly controversial and possibly contested final presidential election.

Had the news reported truths, we would have a different president elect.

possibly true however had not the media been so dishonest we might not have needed a different president. :2 cents:

what is your thought on the news station editing the Zimmerman 911 call to make him appear racist? that's a stone cold fact yet no comments around here about it or anywhere else for that matter...

if they do indeed.. I only have your word for that, someone definitely against conservatism in politics... personally it's difficult to understand how a man that has seen his biz dry up over assets not being paid for can possibly be for a government that takes peoples assets and passes them out.

is it your thought that of the tubes fucked us but it will work really well in governing.. really ma?

you are being distracted.. it's about money and power... the rest is just bullshit to make it look like something else.

are you aware of tim allen? he's a comedian, he wanted to make some trump jokes however he stipulated that all jokes must be fact based. he was unable to pull up any facts about trump being racist or homophobe or any of the accusations currently being played out by the libs :2 cents:

Tim Allen: Hollywood liberals 'hypocritical' toward Trump supporters | TheHill

You mean the notoriously Republican comedian won't say anything negative about the candidate he supports & defends? You don't say?!

Those are two very different things. On one hand, we have a guy who is doctoring information in order to present a particular narrative that he wants to push. On the other. we had a bunch of news stations that were giving data by seemingly reliable sources and that data turned out to be inaccurate.

One is manipulating the news, the other was basically getting data that made an inaccurate prediction.

That said, the national polls turned out to be pretty accurate, it was some of the individual state polls that were off. The RCP average of polls had Clinton at +3.2 going into election day. She won the popular vote by 2 points. The nationwide poll is a poll of who people plan to vote for, not where they are voting from.

I seriously don't even understand what you are trying to say. So Tim Allen (barely remember him, because he is Tim Allen) said he wanted to make some jokes and he couldn't because he set rules to himself that all his jokes are factual? I am seriously lost.

Yeah he's saying he wanted to make jokes about Trumps factual negatives, but he has no factual negatives, so no jokes about Trump.

Tim Allen has been an outspoken Trump fan since the beginning and was just quoted as saying "'The N-word' is Worse to Me Than N--ger"
