Same as fake news around the net

... and all the brain trust gathered in this thread will decide was it real or not :)
|
Not that it will convince any of you who have already decided that every fact is a lie but....
As far as the technology for the "Soft Landing", it has all been published. Here is the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle and the Lunar Landing Testing Vehicles that were used for training. Here is Neil Armstrong Crashing one of them. There were 5 made, 3 were destroyed in crashes, all pilots managed to eject successfully. This is a 21 minute NASA documentary about the testing vehicles if you want to spend that much time. And here is a 28 minute documentary about Grumman and the Lunar Module (Lunar Excursion Module or LEM as it was called at the time it was being built) . |

Funny that. So the various space walks and crafts launched by the Russians, was that all faked by them ? Or is that piece of the Space race genuine ? What about the various dogs, monkeys, mice and bullfrogs that have apparently been in orbit ? All bullshit ??? Or is that true ? |
Aliens don't allow humans on the moon. Everyone knows that

In Moon Landing We Trust!

Whether Man did land on the Moon or not. It was a waste of time.
Robots are the future, the cost of sending people into space, keeping them alive and bringing them back is ridiculous. Even the space station. |

Getting in and out of the Earths atmosphere and gravitational pull is the difficult bit. Take off and re entry is what takes the real engineering and technological difficulty. Sailing across the empty bit in between is the easy bit. Idiot. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

The moons days last 13 days and temperatures reach 123C the nights are -153C. No water source. The list goes on. Its not like a day trip to the desert. It's like 3 days of risking your life to reach the desert and 3 days risking your life to get back to earth. You have a limited pool of space tourist wanting to visit the atmosphere let alone risk there life to visit a cold hot dusty rock by leaving & re-entering the atmosphere. |

There were so many people involved in this operation, it's not possible that all of them were involved in such a lie and never came out with the truth.

(For those who don't know, this is a documentary called "Room 237" about "The Shining" movie). When I first heard about this movie I really wanted to see it. If you like the movie The Shining, its great. It contains all kinds of interesting ideas about the movie, its references, filming techniques, etc. But the guy who made this movie is also a quack. He thinks continuity errors are on screen on purposes, and, he thinks the movie contains a hidden message claiming the landings were fake. It is so beyond stupid, and it is such a stretch that I dismissed most of the rest of the movie. Too bad. |

If you know your U.S. history and know why we would fake it, you know if we did.

overwhelming evidence we've never made it to the moon, and anybody trying to convince us otherwise is probably Gov. / NASA themselves...
The technology available in the 60's would of made it impossible. If it was so easy, why hasn't any country (including our own) been back since? The moon is the most interesting near-earth object...yet we completely ignore it like it's not even there. Lets instead spend $billions$ more trying to get to Mars...where we've only had a 50% success rate so far. (or less) |

The US sent men to the moon, its a fact for the simple reason that the one country that could have blown their "faked" story stayed silent even though they could have numerous reasons to blow a lie apart - the old USSR

"The first successful tests were carried out in 1962 when a team from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology succeeded in observing laser pulses reflected from moon's surface using a laser with a millisecond pulse length. Similar measurements were obtained later the same year by a Soviet team at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory using a Q-switched ruby laser. Greater accuracy was achieved following the installation of a retroreflector array on July 21, 1969, by the crew of "Apollo 11", and two more retroreflector arrays left by the "Apollo 14" and "Apollo 15" missions have also contributed to the experiment. Successful lunar laser range measurements to the retroreflectors were first reported by the 3.1 m telescope at Lick Observatory, Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories Lunar Ranging Observatory in Arizona, the Pic du Midi Observatory in France, the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, and McDonald Observatory in Texas. |
