Hi Glen,

I know the difference between Weather and Climate. I didn't say its going back down to -14c here (Montreal), because it isn't. On Friday its supposed to be 4c, Saturday 14c, then 1, then 3, 6, 8,1, 0, and next week down to -1. That's nowhere close to -14.

And of course, everyone understands that a day-long spike in temperature doesn't really mean much, but I didn't post that either. Its the increased mean temperature that we should be freaking out about.

Mark, your entire post was about this month, not climate. You just over reacted about this months weather and tried to tie it to an argument about climate. We are all aware climate temperatures are increasing, but it is increasing very slowly and there is no need for 'we are all fucked' posts. That is a childs way to argue a point not to mention extremely misleading.

and here is your local weather report i just pulled right now for you:

take notice of the -14c low...

The media doesn't like talking about Fukushima because cleanup is not possible. The nuclear waste was stored on the roof and went flying when the buildings exploded. The melted core punched through the floor and is now contaminating the water table and seeping into the ocean. They have no way of getting that out of there since even the robots they send in malfunction.

we can't track the climate! with hundreds of years of data it still jumps around! in the early 1900's it was record heat! not as many emissions as of 2 days industrial force.

What an interesting combo. Does corn take a lot of soil as they grow taller? You transplant them outside?

Figures our own murder/death copy/paster grows the mexican flower of the dead used only to be planted on graves for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations :1orglaugh:thumbsup very cool though :thumbsup

Logic and reason aren't exactly in your wheelhouse and hasn't been for years but let's try here? My point was that getting hysterical over a warm month, especially over a local heatwave, is not going to aid in the progress of bringing people together and doing something positive about climate change. When people get emotional and down right ridiculous and yell the end of the world it has an opposite effect on everyone listening to it. You will convince nobody this way. If you want to make a difference lead by example instead of blaming others and you may have a better result.

Bette Midler, like most celebrities, is a stupid bitch. Shouldn't be out trying to save women in Afghanistan or something?

Had a similar heat wave in Feb 96, I remember it like it was yesterday, No coats at my sisters funeral.

More good news for **********:

Windfarms kill 10-20 times more than previously thought

Comparing bird and bat fatality-rate estimates among North American wind-energy projects

Fatalities at wind turbines may threaten population viability of a migratory bat

Wind farms are now killing far more birds and bats than the oil industry ever has.

You guys have to cool it with the alarmist claims with this topic. it has an opposite effect. Steps should be taken, yes, but screaming that the sky is falling every time it is warm out is pretty ridiculous.

Here's my version of a Warm Front

So now we are back to seasonably cold and very windy here ...
Overall, it has been a mild winter ... That is OK with me if the trends for summer heat are near normal.

But renewable energy is a good thing. Look at what the oil economy has done for the US in the past 30 years ...
