Why would the Russian government be at the Republican convention? |
Quote:
The Trump campaign paid Sesson's travel expenses to the Republican convention where Sessions secretly met with the Russians. |

His mannerisms and way of speaking reminds me of this easily excitable short guy with a Napoleon complex on my high school football team, he'd get all wound up about something and go off rambling with TMI. You can see Sessions starts catching himself and tried to reign himself in then gives those second guessing facial expressions looking from cues from people to see if he's gone too far off the rails. Pathetic for a 70 year old man in his position.. |

The Trump admin just had to get rid of Flynn over this kind of meeting they knew Sessions had just told Congress he had no contact yet didn't feel the need to revise that statement but rather to try to keep it concealed. The entire Trump admin is rotten to the core. They are likely going to go down as the most corrupted administration in the US history. Worse than the Nixon Admin, the only question will be how much they damage our country.. |
Quote:
This is even worse than the Flynn situation. I am surprised Sessions didn't just come out and admit his meetings when the whole Flynn situation went down. It could have blown over. And now he is incriminating himself because can't keep his mouth shut. The guy is fucking dumb. |

Eventually all of the truth will trickle out. You know there are dozens of people who know the truth, and one of them will either slip up or become disillusioned with Trump and spill. Or perhaps someone will be faced with an investigation or perhaps even jail time and they will sing like a jail yard song bird. |
Russians now have "kompromat" on Sessions that they can use to blackmail him.
"The thing with Sessions is that the Russians almost certainly have a recording of these conversations or detailed notes about the conversations," he said. Painter continued: "And so, they've got something over Sessions. Sessions will be asked what was said in these conversations. And if that doesn't match what the Russians have in their records ... then they've got him, and they have this over him for the rest of his term. We have no idea of knowing whether we're in that situation, but it's just way too high a risk." With what is now known about Sessions' conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, Painter said he doesn't think the attorney general "could effectively run that department." Richard Painter: Sessions might not be guilty of perjury, but he has to resign - Business Insider |
On the news, they were talking to someone who said that whenever a Senator meets with an ambassador from a country there is someone there to make notes of what was discussed and how long the meeting lasted etc. Basically, they take minutes. If Sessions' meetings were just a regular part of his job and were nothing to worry about he should be able to produce these notes easily and settle this very quickly.

I didn't think it was "wrong" of him to do it. Because it's not. It's smart. Why on Earth why wouldn't he prepare for a job he was campaigning to get. Sen. Obama had no experience at all. He was a Junior Senator first term of only 2 years. He had no experience talking to world leaders...far less than Trump has had working with countries worldwide since the 1970's. Anyway, I'm just trying to point that out to you. You don't like Trump. So therefore anything and everything is suspect to you. I understand that. The establishment and the media are downright threatened by him. They don't want to lose their power and money. I understand that. You should too. And "no", the State Dept. is not "involved" with meetings of Senators. A U.S. Senator far outranks any State Dept. official in our political system. How do you think that John McCain is able to just go to Syria like he has done over the past few years to meet with "rebels" (turns out they were ISIS)? How do you think former President Jimmy Carter has interjected himself in foreign affairs and even monitored other countries elections for them? It's not "illegal" to talk to anybody Rochard. It would be "illegal" if Jimmy Carter were to tell a foreign govt. classified information. But discussing things? Nope. And it wasn't "illegal" when Pres. Obama did it in 2008 either. Dude...this is politics. Plain and simple. And the Democrats are out for blood. They were embarrassed in the election and are intent on doing everything they can to take Trump down. I get it. It's just annoying to me that our country has a chance to turn things around, and instead the establishment wants to throw a monkey wrench in it. I think the Republicans are shit. And the Democrats are now proving they are shit as well. Trump is neither. But boy...the Democrats are doing a great job at pushing him towards the right wingers. And they are eager to draw him in. If the Democrats were smart (which they aren't), they would work with Trump and I believe they could get most anything they wanted from him as far as policy goes. But their quest for power is getting in the way. And I really believe they are hurting themselves even more when the 2018 elections come. But maybe then...maybe...the Democrats will change course and start being the representatives of the working man like they used to be. |

The Trump administration is having problems because they hide there contact with Russia and lie about it to the VP, congress under oath, and the American people. People lie to cover up. I feel sad for you that you defend Flynn, the National Security Advisor, who lied to our vice president about his ties with Russia. Morals aren't partisan the law isn't partisan. You can't say it's ok for Sessions to lie under oath, and then in writing, it's not ok. |
Quote:
They basically have Trump's entire admin by the ball sack as even if the Russians, lied there is nothing Trump can do to deny it because he's already lied about his Russian connections. It's basic blackmail 101 yet of course Robbie sees nothing wrong.. Meanwhile had it been Hillary or Obama he would have imploded. |

President Excuses will say I didn't know ... Life will go on until the next event or crisis. |

Obama got in touch with the State Department, and arranged multiple meetings which were documented. Trump did whatever he wanted, didn't contact the State Department at all, had multiple meetings with Russia, and then lied and covered it up. Obama wasn't accused of getting help directly from Russia, Trump is. The Trump administration is spinning lies and covering it up. If there was no wrong doing, why not allow an impartial investigation? |

Obama takes campaign trail overseas - CNN.com 2. To both of you guys...I never "defended" Flynn. I stated facts. Talking to the Russians was part of the job he was taking over. He fucked up by lying to Pence. And Trump fired him...who needs a guy who isn't 100% a team player? 3. Rochard....Trump had ZERO meetings with Russian officials and didn't lie or cover up anything. Flynn lied to Pence. He should have came right out and said "Yes, of course I was talking to them and yes I was talking to them about the sanctions" That was his job. He showed himself to be a liar and the President can't have people that he can't trust...so he fired him. 4. Sessions SHOULD have told Franken at the confirmation hearing that YES he talked to the Russian ambassador. Once in his office with 2 Congressional aides, and once when he shook his hand as he was leaving an event after giving a speech. And that would have been the end of it. He wasn't asked that question. He was being asked in his 2017 confirmation hearing what he would DO as Attorney General if he found out that the Trump campaign had asked the Russians to hack Podesta's email (which Wiki Leaks had dumped way back in March of 2016). He answered that he himself had been referred to as a "surrogate" and that he had no knowledge of anyone in the Trump campaign working with Russian officials. That is the truth. There is ZERO evidence that ever happened. Just conjecture on the part of anti-Trump forces. My thoughts: 1. Flynn lied to Pence...Trump fired him. Good. 2. Sessions is a lawyer. A lawyer will always advise you to specifically answer the question you are given and NOT to elaborate or expand your answer into other areas. BUT...since Sessions is a lifetime/bureaucrat who had lived off the public teat for the last 30 years...he is not trustworthy in my opinion. I don't like ANY Of the politicians on Trumps cabinet. The only ones I have any trust in are the "billionaires" who are citizens like Trump and never held office before. So Sessions can burn for all I care. |

Here is exactly what was said: Franken: CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week that included information that quote, ?Russian operatives claimed to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Drumpf.? These documents also allegedly say quote, ?There was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump's surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government. ?Now, again, I'm telling you this as it's coming out, so you know. But if it's true, it's obviously extremely serious and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Drumpf campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do? Sessions: I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it. Sessions said he "was not aware of any of those activities". That is a direct lie. He met with the Russians. Twice. One time at the Republican convention. He also said "I did not have communications with the Russians". He did. Twice. Sessions was asked what he would do if there was any evidence that anyone in the Trump campaign communicated with the Russians, and in his answer he not only lied about having evidence of communication with the Russians, but also lied that he had direct communications with the Russians while working directly for Trump. Why is the Trump administration covering up connections with Russia if there is nothing to hide? Trump is telling us he has no connection with the Russians while his son tells us the direct opposite when he said ?Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets" and then ?we see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.? What are they hiding and why are they hiding it? |
Quote:
But here is the thing Robbie... You are telling us that this perfectly normal, yet you are telling us that Trump had "zero meetings with Russian officials". Which is it Robbie? All of them are telling lies about all of this and then covering it up. Why? What are they hiding? |

rochard hello!
what was it you said everytime hilarys emails came up??? THERES NO EVIDENCE OF ANY WRONGDOING, NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!!! same deal, dumb dumb... But today its 180 degrees. in rochard world, loretta meeting bill OK, trump talks to russians OMG OMG OMG :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

The intelligence agencies already know the depth of Trumps involvement with the Russians and it's very bad for Trump. Comey is refusing to give the House Intel Committee certain info, to help keep things from completely blowing up, they are having to subpoena him for the data. Schiff: FBI ?Walled Off? Details of Russia Probe From Congress These things are purposely released to the public at a slow pace so all the public can follow the facts to their eventual end. If the public is given too much at one time without the drip of facts, and processing those facts, then they won't believe the outcome. Remember, Trumps campaign, and his transition team, were being investigated by the FBI and didn't know it, it was a few months after the investigation started that it went public, and since it went public his Putin pets have been "resigning" one by one DUE TO LEAKS; Paul Manafort, Carter Page, Michael Flynn, etc. Drip drip drip |

Meanwhile there has yet to be an investigation into Trump potential wrong doing because Republicans are playing party politics. Due to this Trump is not vindicated as doing nothing wrong. Instead it appears he is hiding his wrong doings and Republicans in congress are just as guilty for trying to cover it up. Everything will come out in time, we will find out who knew what and heads will eventually roll if people attempted to cover it up. the "American" thing to do would be allow the investigation to happen to show there was no wrong doing. However clearly there is something to hide because they are scared to have the investigation.. Why do Republicans hate Democracy & our Constitution? |
What is illegal about meeting with russians? No one has answered this question yet

Quote:
Hillary went through 11 investigations and all of them found there was no wrong doing. If the Trump team has done nothing wrong, allow the investigation so we can move on. |
I don't see it being allowed. The republicans are already walking it back. What can the dems do?

However, in this case, there are many financial connections between Russia and Trump. In fact, his son a few years ago says that most of their money comes from Russia. We already have multiple conflicts of interest here which should disqualify Trump, but when a foreign government is involved at this level you have to ask yourself if there is a higher connection the general public isn't aware of. We know now the Russians hacked the DNC and passed the emails onto Wikileaks, and took other actions to influence the election. The Russians helped Trump win the election. The entire time Trump denied his campaign had any connections to the Russian government. We already know this is completely false; A large portion of of his staff has direct ties to Russia. Some of them have even won awards or been paid money for speeches. But the truth is while Trump was denying his campaign had any contact with the Russian government, his staff was meeting with them behind closed doors. Jeff Sessions is a great example. Why would anyone from the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services need to meet with someone from the Russian government behind closed doors without the support and guidance of the State Department? Even worse, why would they have this secret private meeting at the Republican National Convention? Now the problem is they are telling lies about all of this. Why? If they have done nothing wrong, why are they lying about it? What they trying to hide? Why is the Trump administration trying to get the FBI to be quiet about this? Where there is smoke there is fire. And right now we have smoke all over the place. We don't have smoke in one place, we have smoke in a dozen places. We have five people from the Trump camp who have secretly met with people from the Russian government. Robbie is telling us Trump didn't meet with anyone from the Russian government, but do you really mean to tell me the top diplomat from Russia (who is also their top spy) went to the Trump tower to meet with Flynn and Trump's son-in-law but... didn't meet with Trump himself? LOL. They've lied about everything else, so it's safe to say they are lying about this too. |
there are zero financial connections between trump and russia
|
Theres nothing illegal going on at all

Now Sessions was a US senator at the time so he could legally meet with foreign officers and talk policy if "acting" as a Senator. However the thing that is very complicated is at that time he was already working for Trump's campaign. Added to this he lied to Congress about these meetings. To add even more to this, it's reported he met in "private" with the Russian ambassador which is simply "not" done, because of issues of blackmail or shady shit going on.. I dunno if that's a rule he broke or a highly suggested practice.. either way he lied to Congress and that's the key issue at the "moment". What he talked about is still a concern but his first "they got him" is he lied under oath committing perjury. That's not something to take lightly from the head of the DOJ. In fact it's even possible he could lose his law license for lying under oath.. (Clinton lost his for lying under oath about the BJ. Lying under oath is why Clinton was technically impeached) I think this will prove to be a much bigger deal than what happened with Flynn.. I'm betting another of Trump's men bites the dust. Now the fucked up thing is I bet they will let him "resign" like Flynn and not get charged as long as he resigns. However the fucker should lose his law license and be charged with perjury. Any other normal person would get carged for much less. I'm sick of these scumbags getting off scott free.. |
