Sure sure. We are two months in, nothing at all has been accomplished, his first attempt at keeping a campaign promise ended in failure, and his entire staff is under investigation for treason at the highest level.

But yes, let's just assume he'll still be in office for four years.

This might be true. But if this was the case, why ask for an immunity deal? With what little we know, it seems to me worst case he has violated a few laws. There is no laws about a private citizen speaking to Russian government employees. At the bare minimum it looks like he has violated some old law about private citizens making deals on behalf of the United States with foreign countries. He would get into some trouble for this, maybe a fine; No matter what his government career is over.

However.... The NSA and the CIA know exactly what has happened here. Any and all communication Flynn has had with the Russians has been documented. They know what happened. We know Flynn was knee deep in Russia; We know he was paid to speak at the Russia Today (RT) dinner. Think about this for a moment - A member of the Defense Intelligence Agency was paid to give a speech to the Russian propaganda arm. You just KNOW Flynn was into something.

IF Flynn says "Trump ordered me to do this" or "Trump was working directly with the Russians" you know this house of cards will come crashing down hard.

I haven't been watching much TV tonight but what little TV I watched was about ten minutes of CNN and they played a video of Flynn where he was talking about some of Hillary's staff getting immunity for something or another, and then he said "The only time you go for immunity is when you are guilty of something". LOL.

I have very little doubt he was up to something that could get him in serious trouble. If he weren't he wouldn't have asked for immunity. I just don't know if he knows much beyond that. Had he told them, "Give me immunity and I will give you solid proof that Trump himself conspired with the Russians to win the election," they would have immediately given him immunity. The fact that nobody has taken him up on his offer says to me that he either doesn't know much that they don't already know, or he's given them a general idea of what he knows and they are deciding if it is worth immunity. If he really had something juicy that they wanted today's story would have been about him getting immunity, not his asking for it.

Rochard 03-30-2017 10:28 PM

Here is the best part about this... Wasn't it Flynn who was leading the chants of "Lock her up" during the Trump rallies? LOL. What a difference two months makes.

Why would he ask for immunity if he knows nothing?

These investigations move really slowly. At this point they are thinking about giving him immunity. I honestly believe that the NSA / CIA knows exactly what happened; They don't need to know what Flynn knows. They already know.

My guess is that Flynn will either get immunity or be asked to testify and face charges.

He could be asking for immunity because he knows he is in trouble and he is looking for a way out. Like you said, these things sometimes move slowly so it is possible he told them what he has to tell them and they are looking at the information to make a decision on whether or not to offer him immunity.

I have said all along that when it comes to the Russian involvement in the election there is a lot of smoke there so there is likely some fire, but it may be hard to find out just where the fire is.

One thing is for sure. If Flynn has something very damaging to Trump or a senior member of his staff it will disastrous for him.

Something like 7 people received immunity for the Hillary investigation. Nothing happened with that.

This might be true. But the Hillary investigations were a waste of time and nothing more than a witch hunt. With Benghazi it was a terrorist attack we didn't see coming, and nothing we could have done would have changed the outcome - we knew that when we started the investigation and we knew no crimes were committed. It was the same with the email investigation - There are no laws that says the Secretary of State cannot send classified email via a private server. These were witch hunts in which we knew from the beginning there was no wrong doing and no crime. These investigations were not looking to put anyone in jail, but were a political weapon.

We know for a fact that the Russians influenced our election. We know for a fact that the Trump campaign had multiple contacts to the Russian government at nearly all levels. We can go further and say the Trump campaign was communicating directly with Wikileaks; The Trump campaign had advanced knowledge what was coming next with Wikileaks. We also know a member of the Trump campaign - Roger Stone - was directly communication with the Russian hackers.

It's only a matter of time before the FBI starts putting people under oath and asking questions.

I was a child when Watergate happened, but from what I read it was stunning. It seems to me this is exactly what is happening now.

Even if none of this is true and all we are doing is connecting imaginary dots that do not exist, this will hang over the Trump administration until the end of his term.

TCLGirls 03-30-2017 11:33 PM

Nothing to see here folks. Flynn was just a volunteer with the Trump campaign for a very short period. Move along now. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

There is no story to tell. He just wants to end this whole thing now.... demands immunity for what libtards expect to be explosive information....... and then nothing.

No information to bring Trump down.

No Flynn prosecution.

No nothing.

lol, pretty sure this tin foil hat wearing nut has already been "ended"

I remember that. When President Clinton was investigated and it had no affect on her successful bid for president. See what I did there? Do you get it? lol

marlboroack 03-31-2017 02:34 AM

I'd LOVE a grant of immunity too LOL

Just throwing this out there...who thinks he'll be resigning soon? Besides me, Crockett and Bladewire?

Rochard 03-31-2017 07:37 AM

I gave this a lot thought over night... And this is a disaster for the Trump administration.

Think about this for just a moment... A high ranking member of Trump's administration is seeking immunity and is willing to go under oath to get it. Just imagine what this can turn up. To give you all an example, they impeached Clinton because he lied under oath about a blowjob. Imagine if one of the questions is "Has Trump ever had sexual relations outside of his current marriage". This isn't far fetched because there are reports Trump might be blackmailed by Russians because of activity with hookers in Russia. Imagine if they ask that queston and Flynn, under oath, answers that Trump has used hookers in Russia in the past, and perhaps during his current marriage.

Damn.

How long before Flynn meets with an accident ?

bronco67 03-31-2017 10:24 AM

SPicer is getting ready for his press conference and he has to be thinking "this one is really going to suck". He's in the back now, chugging a six pack of Red Bull so he can get his wings.

kane 03-31-2017 12:34 PM

Looks like the Senate just told him they won't be giving him immunity. Flynn still could get immunity from the FBI, but the Senate said it is way too early for something like this.

To me this means one of two things. Either he doesn't have anything they don't already know or they don't need his testimony and he is going down anyway.

Linkster 03-31-2017 12:51 PM

If you're really concerned why they did not put out an offer of immunity immediately to him, you need to read the history of the O. North case. They no longer jump on these offers until they are sure they are going to need it to get the information...in that old case it was months - I remember watching the Watergate trials and it took forever to get to the real information :thumbsup

Remember Flynn has been floating immunity for awhile, the first reports came out 10 days ago.

I was watching a panel earlier with veteran prosecutors & former FBI and they said the only possible reason Flynn hasn't been given immunity is because they have hard evidence on him & any bigger fish they want ( paper trail, electronic footprints & evidence, recorded survailance, other key witnesses with immunity, etc. ). It's not like the old days, you leave digital tracks everywhere & Flynn is not very smart, his convos with the Russian ambasador are on record, imagine what else they have :1orglaugh

Not good for Trump, great news for America :thumbsup

Spicy is way in over his head. Every time he does his press conference it cracks me the hell up.

It seems like Fly is being denied immunity... LOL.

The CIA and NSA knows exactly what Flynn knows. They don't need him to testify.

I love how he flips everything around in the best possible way he can do it...make everything about Clinton and Obama. THEY'RE the ones with the connections to Russia.

He's always telling everyone they're focusing on the wrong things. "Don't focus on the shady shit we did. Try to focus on who caught us doing it and why they were watching us. That's the real problem here."

and there is a ton of mischaracterizations and misinterpretations of almost every topic he touches on. It's like he's the press secretary and the minister of disinformation/propaganda.

Trump is not a negotiator. He is a salesman. He makes his sales pitch, and then has his staff work on the details. This is exactly what he did with the healthcare bill. Trump didn't care about it, didn't know the details, but just wanted a win. The details didn't matter, only that it looked good.

Now is the time for him to actually do "stuff". He is still campaigning. Has he commented on anything? Our military has bombed and killed hundreds and hundreds of civilians and the White House is silent.

He doesn't know how to lead. The only reason he is where he is today is because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

His daughter Ivanka Trump is more of the same. She wants to promote women's rights? This is a woman who hasn't worked a day in her life. She has no idea what woman's rights are. It's not that she is a bad person; She just does't know. She's lived a sheltered and privileged life. I have no respect for people like that.

You guys are funny, Trump urged Flynn to go ahead and testify for immunity..........the senate denied it today and you all came up with insane conspiracy theories why. It's because there is nothing there, they aren't going to waste their time for something they already know and won't amount to shit.

It's amazing how many of you guys want and hope Trump fails instead of hoping the country does well, I bet you'd like to see a huge disaster where millions die so you could blame Trump. Face it, he's not going anywhere for almost 4 years. Deal with it.

Wow you're really butthurt.

There is no conspiracy, there are facts.

You are lying when you say "there is nothing there", you're just outright lying it's pathetic. Flynn admitted to taking money from Russia, as a retired general that's illegal.

You guys always say there's nothing there when there is, and when there are consequences and someone resigns you say it's a conspiracy or unfair, it's the strangest thing I've ever seen.

There are a number of black and white undisputed facts that prove Flynn is guilty of a number of crimes. Trump sets the standard for those who work under him and Trump lies & cheats without a second thought, lying almost daily. Pence & Trump are evil it's sucks.

Are you all there? Trump fired Flynn the moment the Russia ties came into play. He may have done something illegal, but there are no "facts" as you say that connect this in any way to Trump. He wasn't part of his campaign, he was chosen after the election then dismissed when the facts came out. Trump lies daily, your quote, lies and cheats without a second though. Where are YOUR facts? That is the strangest thing I've ever seen, actually Trump said he would do everything that is happening now before he was elected, he's actually the most honest politician I've seen that is trying to follow thru on his campaign promises, you just hate it so you look for anything and everywhere for your "conspiracy". Trumps taxes..........oops he paid, Trump's phone.......now he has the CIA gutted Iphone..........

You just hate the guy and his policies, sorry but too bad, he won. I hated Obama's policies but I still respected the guy because he was the POTUS and the office deserves the respect. You won't give him the time of day because of your blind hatred of him. A walking, talking box of hypocrisy.

Obama had dozens of staffers resign because of scandal.........think Van Jones for instance. Did this mean Obama fostered a WH of lies and crime? No of course not.

Isn't saying a person is butthurt offensive to gay people? It is if a conservative says it but not you of course not. Also no, I'm quite happy with it, he's doing the things he promised.
