Stupid people think simplistic movies like Arrival, that pretend to be complex but aren't, are 'clever', therefore anyone bored with it is stupid... It's the contrary, genius :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Thanks for making my point for me, numbnuts. I said "emotional" intelligence, and since that's a concept you can't even grasp you basically reverted to calling it simplistic. It's a movie about the nature of what it is to be human, and experience something like losing a child (even though you know it's coming) because the time spent with her before she died was worth it. This is something you can't pick up on, because you're a soulless slug that squirms around among the rest of us humans.

I have a feeling you hate everything before you watch it, and you hate it even more afterward.

Robocop! Love this. This was one of the most violent (and funny) movies I had ever seen when it came out.

Fight Club!

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World - LOVE THIS MOVIE. This has to be one of the best comedies ever made. I'm worried some dork will try to remake this one day. So good.

Blazing Saddles: Of course. Another one of the best comedies ever made.

Worst movie i have seen in the last decade

(Talking about Captain America: The First Avenger).

No dude, no... its really, really good. I thought it was "ok" when I first saw it but when I watched it the second (and third, and fourth..!) time I have really learned to love it. It has a great story, GREAT ending, great action and absolutely stunning visual effects (Search youtube for "Skinny Steve").

It's loaded with easter eggs and answers dozens of questions about the MCU. And I don't know why, but I'm a real sucker for the Peggy Carter character.

Dude come on... we like the movies we like because it makes us happy. So what if you didn't like Arrival? Some like me, liked it, and others like you didn't. No big whoop.

What is your favourite movie btw?

The only one you mention I've seen is The Man from Earth - great movie by the same guy who wrote the old Star Trek episode. The twist ending was a bit predictable, but satisfying.

Gonna check out the others - they all sound good, too.

Thanks Grape. I'll check them all out in the next couple of weeks though I may skip Stake Land as Vampire movies don't really do anything for me.

yeah vampire movies are usually chick flicks, thing is, stakeland is more like a hard core zombie apocalypse flick, not a vampire move... when you think it can't get worse for them, it does...

I was a bit caught off guard by 'the man from earth'. I was only watching out of boredom and was surprised at how good the film is. there is another about 'time' that's pretty good.

Was watching part of My Cousin Vinny a few minutes ago. That is just a perfect movie. Wouldn't change one thing about it. Funny lines, good acting, great characters and also a decent courtroom drama to boot.
