Fuck the kids. Banning porn spam is just another decency law. Let the parents put filters on for christ sake. The people we protect with spam laws shouldnt be the losers who think having to click delete is big enough of a deal to take to the supreme court, it should be the fucking webmasters who's e-mail servers and proxies are getting raped costing them time and bandwidth.

Fuck filtering too, filtering is only good for spammers. I'll tell you that to spammers who know what they're doing, filters are a godsend. All the sudden the 300 newbies mailing the same address aren't getting through to that person. They might actually read the subject line. Of course, the 300 other people who are trying are only burning bandwidth that usually doesn't belong to them anyway.

Fax Spams
Now this is a neat trick i use . Get 4 pieces of fax paper and write on each piece a personal note to the guys that keep sending you unsolicited faxes ( most of the idiots supply their fax # or it shows up at the top of the page you received) Tape each piece together using that clear 2 inch tape. Use one piece each side and leave as big a gap as possible between each page feed one end into your machine and dial their # As the pages start to send tape the ends of your fax together to make a loop. Then as long as you have left a gap of clear tape between each sheet this will keep sending duplicate page after page to the assholes until all their paper has run out. It works on most machines as long as you leave a space between each sheet. Payback is a Bitch

It's worse than 40%. I just checked the messagewall logs on my mail server and it's
rejecting 84% of the incoming mail as spam.

If you are a sysadmin, http://messagewall.org is a very very very good tool for dealing with the spam problem at a server level and still provide granularity down to a domain level or even a specific email address.

I think this is all fairly simple. Most of the spammers are cocksuckers. I don't doubt that they make money, I imagine they make quite a large amount of money doing what they do. However I know the all the spam I receive in my email, phone calls I get, mailers I get I know all of those people are making money too. Should it be illegal, I don't think so. You'll always have the people who are in biz and do things on the shady annoying side. I mean televangelists make a lot of money fucking over old people and poor people without hope, but if your only bottom line is getting rich then you have much more to worry about than being a cocksucker. It's about a little bit of ethics and self respect, it's not always about making the most money at any cost, I could fucking rob and steal, sell drugs and do many more things to make much more money but at what cost. If you want to be a lowlife spammer, then get all the money you can at the cost of selling your self respect, eventually it all comes back to you at some point.
