So this gunman traveled from Illinois ...

The assailant shot an armed police 'agent' -- I had to read this 3x the woman was still hysterical perhaps.

Scalese had a detail, I think they were both wounded.

This guy was another nutjob Bernie Sanders supporter.

Just like the knife attacker in Portland.

The Democrats sure love their senseless violence. (Looking at you, AndyA & Crockette)

ALLEGED SHOOTER IDENTIFIED: James T. Hodgkinson, 66, Apparent Bernie Supporting Trump-Hater

We're just 6 months in to the Trump Trainwreck, things are just getting started, it's only going to get worse for the lying crooks in power :2 cents:

There are consequences to lying to the people, taking away healthcare for 28 million people, reducing Medicare & Medicaid, obstruction of Justice, stealing a supreme court seat, racist gerrymandering, etc.

People are rising up to take back their country.

James T. Hodgkinson is a patriot who sent a direct loud message to Washington today that we the people have a voice & have the power. The method he used caused the YMCA to be hit with 2 bullets and could have hurt civilians. I don't condone what the gunman did.

Unfortunately when people are wounded and not killed, they become martyr's. Rand Paul was there and was not hit. This type of shooting is unacceptable.

Every day 93 people in America die from gunshots and 216 a day survive gunshots so these 4 assholes in congress being shot is just another day in America.

Guaranteed the bitches shot will be all over TV trying to garner sympathy for their theft of American wealth & resources for the top 1%

Of the 28 million American who are going to lose healthcare, how many of them with children are going to die?

Congress is specifically killing people by taking away their healthcare, this is reality.

I don't wish anyone dead BTW I wish the president & congress would act respectfully to all Americans so people weren't put in the position to feel their only recourse is to kill the do nothing congressmen.

Chill, this isn't Venezuela.

Adopting terrorist tactics will do no good for anyone.
Hopefully, there is not some draconian response.

We have laws and we have elections.
The 2nd amendment is not a license for lone gunmen to wreak havoc on the government.

AndyA 06-14-2017 09:17 AM

No but 99% of american families benefit from ObamaCare and the Affordable Care act

We ALL benefit because the ACA keeps insurance rates down.... when they repeal it we wil all suffer for a few that want a tax break

This is only the beginning.

The Electoral College was put into place to protect America from a Trump presidency, it failed, and the majority of Americans don't support Trump, and Trump doesn't give a shit. If Trump tried bringing people together after separating them to be annointed POTUS, things would be different.

Trump, six months after the election, tweets almost daily about Democrats being bitter, keeping them bitter.

We do have laws etc but with racial gerrymandering and majority not ruling, and the people in power only caring about taking away people's rights, healthcare, and stealing from the treasury , what do people feel they have left to do when the system isn't working for them? I don't condone shooting and injuring congressman.

Yes.

Mine has increased from $300, to $350, to $500. Everyone in my family has a similar story.

This year I pay $500 a month, had to switch all of my doctors, with a deductible at $5000.

And insurance companies are going to continue to fuck us over, just watch. And the current healthcare bill gives less for the same high prices.

You can thank the insurance companies for that.

You do realize all of the insurance companies made billions in profits last year right? One was 26% profit over the previous year.

Rates going up is the insurance companies wanting more profit, when they don't get as much as they want they drop out of an exchange.

This is the problem having public companies as insurance middlemen, their investors demand more return and the health insurance companies fuck over customers, hospitals & the government to keep increasing profit, as they have for decades.

The insurance companies are the problem, they always have been and they'll fuck us under Trumpcare because that's what they do.

Absolutely. And this was highly predicted when Obamacare first rolled out but few wanted to listen because they were so focused on the shiny toy. There were no true repercussions for this happening.

Obamacare was a cheap quick Band-Aid to a horrible, horrible problem, and now things are going to be significantly worse.

I agree with you 100%. A publicly traded company has one goal: make investors money. In the health chain, there is a whole pyramid of publicly trading companies from the bottom to the top. Each wanting their piece of the pie.

I'm currently in the process of outright buying a piece of medical equipment that costs around $4,500. My doctor writes out a prescription that he sends straight to a medical supply company (publicly traded.) Medical supply company then deals with my insurance company (publicly traded) and charges them $750 a month (or so they claim) for that same exact piece of equipment.

That piece of medical equipment will last me 5 years minimum. So we are looking at $750 a month, for 5 years, that's close to $40,000 for what I can buy outright at $4500.

Yes, insurance companies suck. So does the whole chain of sycophants.

If America goes into civil war again the Confederates will be completely exterminated this time, they've almost rotted America from the inside out with their racism, hate and support for terrorist & the mentally ill to own guns.

The GOP Confederates will be eliminated from America if there's another civil war, they want blacks and Hispanics as second class citizens and combined they are 30% of our population, and that's just one faction against them :1orglaugh

Where do you live?

I live in California and I have Kaiser, which is large and well known in California. Before Obamacare I was paying $1200 a month. Obamacare reduced that to something like $117 a month, and at point my wife's company agreed to pay it.

I believe that how well Obamacare does depends on the local state government. Some states got behind Obamacare and worked to make it effective, other states not so much. I live in California where we have a large population, but other states only have one or two providers.

I honestly believe that we need to get the federal government more involved here and put caps on costs.

Those people were too stupid to figure out that ACA = Obamacare.. Suddenly when they realized they voted to repel their own insurance they started crying again.. Now they suddenly want to keep it but Republicans are still trying to kill it at this very moment behind closed doors where no one even their own party members knows what they are doing..

Barry-xlovecam 06-14-2017 10:11 AM

Yesterday; Tuesday -- Donald Trump says House-passed health care bill is "mean"

Quote:

By Alan Fram, The Associated Press

WASHINGTON ? President Donald Trump told Republican senators Tuesday that the House-passed health care bill he helped revive is ?mean? and urged them to craft a version that is ?more generous,? congressional sources said.

Trump?s remarks were a surprising slap at a Republican-written House measure that was shepherded by Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and whose passage the president lobbied for and praised. At a Rose Garden ceremony minutes after the bill?s narrow House passage on May 4, Trump called it ?a great plan.?

The president?s criticism, at a White House lunch with 15 GOP senators, also came as Senate Republican leaders? attempts to write their own health care package have been slowed by disagreements between their party?s conservatives and moderates.
So, is this just a deflection -- SODDI Don't blame me "some other dude did it!"

Who is the dog and who is the tail?

Yes, insurance companies suck. So does the whole chain of sycophants.

The reason your insurance went up is because you live in Texas.. Texas is Republican run state who are trying to make Obamacare fail. Your story is the same in every Red state which failed to properly adopt Obamacare and the medicare mandate. By doing this your govt officials created a situation where your costs will increase each year which was their plan in the 1st place..

Obamacare doesn't work for you, because your state sucks and your state lawmakers suck even more.. My state also sucks being another Right wing hell hold.. Your experience with Obamacare is bad, because that's what your state representatives wanted for you. They wanted you to hate it..,

Obamacare was never perfect but it could have been made very good. If Republicans spent half the time trying to help Democrats fix Obamacare instead of fighting it. We would of had a very good healthcare system. Instead Republicans choose obstruction and destruction of our country..

Congrats.. today's shooting is likely the start of many more. When will you guys learn that the people you support are creating policies which harm you and destroy people's lives? You think people will go on being silent when they feel their vote no longer matters or they are powerless to do anything.. This is only the start..

Trump & Republicans have the power to change their ways are start working for the people instead of fucking the people. It's their choice which road we continue to go down..

BTW your state of Texas was one of the states who has illegally gerrymandered voting districts to silence the voice of minority voters..

Federal Court Rules Three Texas Congressional Districts Illegally Drawn : The Two-Way : NPR

This is what your Republicans do and you wonder why someone wants to shoot them on a baseball field.. I'm simply amazed it hasn't happened sooner.

i think the problem in US is the "american way of life". wich means there could be millions of working and existing health care systems in the world what could be adopted - america wants to have his own way.

and sure is one of the biggest problems that the health care industry is just another corruption and lobby driven ripp off.

i will not say that spain is the nonplusultra health care system in the world but if i go to a pharmacy here to buy whatever it costs the half or even less as anywhere else because prices are more or less controlled.

same thing with hospitals. yes they have private hospitals but even the public hospitals are highly modern and charge a fraction of the private ones.

the health care system in US is the worst in the whole western world. but it is not like that since trump or obama - it was always like that.

americans are even proud on their 100% free market but the only "freedom" is found in the fact that even companies what are dealing with health (what should not be a privilege) are free to ripp people off.
and the first thing this fuck of a president does is calculating nonsense and eliminating things like obama´s consumer protection law.

i really wonder how comes that americans can think that they are free.

I lived in Australia 5 years and that's basically what they have there, minus the monthly insurance bill, super cheap meds & $20 office visits and no monthly bill for insurance $0.

If they can do it, America can, but Republicans like Sly will fight it, because they think it's bad, go figure.

No, you fool, it depends on whether you are getting subsidies or not. If you are getting subsidies then no shit, it works great for you, it's free $$ from the government for you, someone on the hand who isn't getting subsidies is getting fucked in the ass with no lube by paying extra so someone like you can get subsidies. That's why about half the population is opposed to this horseshit and wants Obamacare gone.

How do you "KNOW" USA has the worst health care system? From what you read thommy? It is not the worst heathcare system in the world -- I know this from a series of surgeries that probably saved my life. However -- it was expensive as fuck -- even WITH insurance.

The right statement is that 'the USA has one of the most expensive healthcare systems in the world'. It does not offer "outstanding" outcomes however we US American live lives of excess and that is a factor I suppose. We, as a people (most of us) are not particularly egalitarian nor feel forced into frugality.
