This is the kind of stuff the Democrats have allowed themselves to be drawn into far too much in recent years. Trump doesn't give a shit if transgender people serve in the military. He likely didn't even know they did before making this announcement. This was done to piss off liberals and get them talking about things that distract them from jobs and helping the middle class.

Just the other day the Democrats took a good step forward by announcing that they were working on ideas that would help create jobs and improve the economy etc. In short, stuff middle class working people want to hear. now this comes along and you know there will be a big fight about it. If the Democrats allow themselves to be distracted by this and they make it the focus of their agenda, they are playing right into the Republican's hands as Trump tries to solidify his base with stuff like this because they are going to be angry with him when he fails them on healthcare.

I think active duty servicemen & women being used as a political pawn, and losing their livelihood, is something worth defending. That's how Democrats need to address it IMO.

Good move on the Donald's part. Now repeal allowing gays to serve as well as women. The WAVES's, WAC's, SPAR's etc. needs to be reactivated if women want to serve. BTW the draft should also be reinstated as well. Also the pay should be minimal for draftees, and for those that choose to re-enlist for a second term be paid well.
